"Come on, you can do better than that!"
Makoto Kino, martial arts fighting girl par excellence, was doing her level best to kick Ranma Saotome's butt.
"You call that a kick? I've seen babies kick better than that!"
Bond, Ranma Bond, was ducking and dodging and weaving.
In other words they were having a pretty typical morning sparring session.
Except that Makoto, now having the signature moves of three "fighting game" girls - was spending a lot more time being a far more credible threat.
Makoto had been Ranma's girlfriend, sort of. Prior to the masquerade they'd been friends and Makoto had been very very nice to him. She had considered him her boyfriend. Ranma had been pretty clueless about the whole thing and constantly surprised at Makoto's skills. She was good in the kitchen, attractive, strong, and a decent fighter - but didn't sacrifice feminine for fighting. She was not cute. She was a tomboy, in some ways. In others she wasn't. She didn't fit any pigeonhole that Ranma's father had constructed about how women were supposed to act, and Ranma had darn little in the way of experience with the female gender prior to Jusenkyo.
A caring and affectionate girl whom he could relate to had become a friend. Everything else would have to wait for him to be able to mentally wrap his mind around what a girlfriend actually was.
That had ended the previous night when he had become Ranma Bond and she the fighting game girl. Ranma Saotome had no clue as to what a girlfriend really was, much less what to expect. James Bond knew more about girls and girlfriends and how to bring them to satiated little grins than 90% of the men in Tokyo.
What Ranma Bond knew was that Makoto felt very strongly about him. He wasn't sure if he completely reciprocated those feelings, but he wasn't at all inclined to hurt his friend.
That he now had several of her friends as pets was another problem altogether.
Rei Bunnygirl, formerly Rei Hino. Yes, those ears, tail, and the (ahem) figure were all quite real. She had worn a collar briefly and grudgingly. Now she didn't grudge them. She was running into problems like when she had tried to eat some meat earlier and gotten extremely and violently ill. Or the fact that as far as anyone outside their little circle could tell, she had always been Ranma's bunny. Also a shrine priestess.
Rei did discover, in the manner of an anime series called "Wataru", that she still had some magical/psychic powers. She could conjure carrots out of thin air. If she had any further powers, it would take time to discover them. Also that she was frustrated by her body really really wanting Ranma to grab her and throw her onto her bed and screw her brains out.
Which was why Rei was munching fitfully on a carrot and watching Makoto and Ranma spar.
Ami and Hotaru were Ranma's medical team. When Ami had returned home, her mother had wondered if she had had a fight with Ranma. As far as Ami's mother was concerned, Ami was one of Ranma's pets. Also her daughter, and she had arranged that if she suddenly nekofied, she'd rejoin her daughter as one of Ranma's kitties.
Her mother had then asked a lot of questions about Ranma's health, especially pertaining to his sex life, and wondering aloud if she looked "catty".
Ami had fled, not wanting her imagination to go there or to know anything about her Mom fantasizing about her daughter's owner. Ami really really really hadn't needed to know about that.
Michiru and Haruka had slept most of the night. Right now they both had a case of the "stares" as they tried to come to terms with their new sitrep.
Haruka was now, apparently, not exclusively lesbian. She got quite warm and tingly just watching Ranma's boy-form do his early morning stretches.
Michiru likewise had found herself staring at Ranma and wanting to do things that were quite ecchi.
What their new powers would be was still up in the air.
"Kitty Flash!"
As was another member of the household.
Minako was midway through her leap as she spun, her clothes disintegrating to reform into a variation of Ranma's usual Chinese silks. "Kitty Fighter!"
Minako had taken to the changed circumstances surprisingly well. Perhaps because her potential power level hadn't really dropped that much. Oh sure, now she couldn't do a "Crescent Beam" but she *could* form a "Kitty Archery Set" or Lara Croft-lookalike and she'd be good to go. And being able to be "Kitty Idol Singer" or "Kitty Pro Wrestler" or "Racer Kitty" (etc) at a moment's notice had definite advantages.
Hotaru didn't have much problem with her new abilities. Okay, she couldn't knock asteroids out of the sky. On the other hand she was able to look devastatingly cute as Nurse Hotaru, Catgirl Of Mercy!
