While seeing his fiancee become irritated quickly was nothing new for Ranma, there was something about the current set of events which told him that it would be best to change topics immediately. "Umm... Kasumi's almost done with dinner--" The moment the words came out of his mouth, Ranma realized he made a huge mistake (no pun intended).
Akane was angry. And when Akane gets angry, she needs someone to act as a personal punching bag, with said person usually being Ranma.
With all that I'm going through, how dare he insult me, trying to say that I'm now going to eat a lot! That... that....
"RANMA, YOU JERK!" Akane screamed, giving words to her current emotion. But this time, instead of the usual punch, kick or mallet attack, she, as if by instinct, leapt up. Going higher than anyone could have expected from her, she intended on using her newly acquired bulk along with suddenly vast skills in sumo wrestling to crush the hapless martial artist below her.
Ranma easily sidestepped the attack, allowing the super-sized Akane to hit the ground with a mighty *THUD*. The house shook as if hit by an earthquake....
And then the floor directly below Akane gave way, with enough of it shattering so that she was easily able to fall through. Akane yelped in surprise as she was unceremoniously dropped onto the floor below.
"I never knew this house had a basement," Ranma commented to Nabiki, who shrugged in return.
A large cracking sound followed along with Akane shrieking as she fell to the floor below it. Another followed suit, followed by another and another and....
What a ground-breaking performance, read the sign that Genma, who actually wasn't a panda at the moment, was holding.
