Commander Gendo ikari sat as usual behind his desk, his glasses reflecting the ambient light and his gloved hands crossed under his nose, the Gendo position tm. He was currently pondering Major Katsuragi and Doctor Akagi's request "Explain"
Misato spoke first "Commander, It is already difficult for me, the second and the third child to live together, my appartment is barely large enough. With Dr. Akagi's help, we could afford larger accommodations. There is also a chance that a better cadre of living would have good repercussions on their synchronisation ratios"
"I agree with Major Katsuragi. I could also better keep track of their psychological state. The reports of Major Katsuragi on the children are decent but it is not her area of expertise. We've lived together before during university so we already know we can do it" Ritsuko thought back to these days. Simpler and happier times. Shinji was her chance to experience such feelings again...
"We have already scouted for suitable appartments. Some of them could put the pilots nearer to the Geofront and thereby cut down travel times in case of an angel attack"
Gendo considered it. Their reasons were sound and valid. Major Katsuragi had become a little too curious for his tasts since the Jet Alone incident and Agent Kaji's posting here. Ritsuko would be able to keep an eye on her like this "Request granted. I'll leave the details to you two. Dismissed"
"Thank you, sir !" Misato saluted and Ritsuko nodded her approval. The two women left and Gendo ikari turned his attention to more important matters.

Misato smiled "See ! I told you it would work !"
Ritsuko rolled her eyes "Yes, yes. I shouldn't have doubted you. Now what ?"
"You take care of the paperwork and I'll handle the rest ! Soon we'll be set !"
"Hai, hai... I hope your plan will not explode in our faces, that's all"
