Did she really want to go through all that again?
Not only no, but hell no.
Striking these bozos and defeating them with normal measures had merely encouraged them. She couldn't reason with them, they were not thinking with the head normally associated with reason.
She also had a lot of frustration involved. Tatewaki Kuno had revealed in his fights with Ranma that even after precipitating all this mess - he still had not fought her full out. He hadn't taken her seriously as a martial artist.
Focussing on these and other negative thoughts deliberately, Akane Tendo released her full five foot two feminine fury. Though she wasn't in the same "ridiculously powerful" class of martial artist as Ryouga, Ranma, Shampoo, and most likely Ukyo - not having had the same overwhelming dedication to either the Art or Vengeance driving her on - she was the Tendo heir. She was a second dan black belt in kempo equivelant, fourth dan if she could use all that she'd learned associating with those martial artists, and as the Tendo heir - had the heritage of the advanced chi reservoirs that both the Saotome and Tendo families enjoyed.
Besides, releasing all this violence now should give her a clear head as to what to do when Ranma finally showed in about two months.
The martial arts allowed one to use body, mind, and spirit together in the very precise application of violence. Even if she hadn't been the Tendo heir, a 5'2" girl with a superior grasp of the martial arts could defeat much larger and stronger enemies because of those three elements working as one. Akane had long drawn strength through anger - it was a good source as it combined adrenal response with chi, though it tended to make one sloppy. Not that her current foes were skilled enough to take advantage of this.
Her fist sheared through a hockey stick without slowing a struck the "goalies" face - shattering the mask and his jaw simultaneously.
A football player found his protective cup lodged into the surrounding skin as she kicked him "between the goal posts" hard enough that he was lifted nearly three feet from the impact.
Whirl, block, disarm, counterstrike. Each move precise and to the point. One of the kendo team went down, his windpipe almost completely crushed. She'd held back, just a little.
Catch the downward blow from a baseball player, use the leg against his chest to brace, twist and pull. As his shoulders dislocated, Akane took the aluminum baseball bat and used it to break the arm of a karate club student.
The baseball bat was actually a pretty good weapon for martial arts. Swing under a sumo's chin for a satisfying crack, step back as one brought the butt of it into a dance club member's solar plexus to a depth of about two and a half inches. Block a fencer's flimsy foil with it, just to demonstrate it could be done, break his flexed knee with a kick, then swing it around to bounce it off a soccer player's head.
She was completely focussed on the Art. It wasn't until some of the club members were obviously scrambling back in fear that the screaming and sobbing from those she'd just dealt with penetrated.
Her gaze snapped to Kuno. She wouldn't have to do this if it weren't for him. If it were not for the "Shooting Star" - things might well have gone better in her life, and she would not have had to hurt these idiots just to get them to leave her alone.
She had to deal with the source of these problems, and she had to deal with him now.
