Those Obnoxious Pokegirls: Unexpected Visitors [Episode 30520]

by Gorgo

(Writer's Note: The pokegirl world I'm using here is an amalgam of what was produced by fans of Metroanime's Wild Horses and Pokegirls, plus whatever I've created in my past attempts to write stories for that genre. It has no real connection to WH&Pg or any other pokegirl story beyond that.)

Imagine a world which once was called "Earth." A name now lost to history for most of the inhabitants of the world in question, a place torn apart three centuries ago in an act of mad revenge by one man. A man today known worldwide as Sukebe.

Others have chronicled what sort of changes Sukebe's actions had ultimately unleashed on his home planet, so they will not be repeated here. Let's now look upon a place called the "Edo Continent" -- where there once stood nations named Dai-Nihon, Taehan-min'guk amid others -- where four newcomers to this world are now waking up after being forcefully beamed from their doomed starship...

"Shit, whatta party..."

Ataru grunts as he slips onto his elbows, a hand rubbing his eyes. Taking a quick look around, he blinks on noting the field of tall grass surrounding him, then sensing no pain from his joints, gets to his feet. "Where am I...?"

He stops, then reaches into his pocket to draw out a rectangular device the size of the average man's wallet. Pressing his thumb onto the surface, he calls out, "Ranma? Tariko-chan? Kikuko-chan? Hey, any of you guys hear me?!"

Silence responds. Ataru makes another hail. Same response. The proceedure is repeated several more times before the lack of response makes the former Tomobiki resident spit out "SHIT!!!" as he flings the black card into the dirt.

Taking a minute to calm himself down, Ataru moves to scan his surroudings again. The field surrounding him is vast, but not endless. In the distance, snow-capped peaks line the horizon from about due north to the south-west -- at least, that is what Ataru believes are the cardinal directions given the sun's position high in the sky. To his east and south are rolling hills and several fair-sized clumps of trees. Taking another sweep of his surroundings, Ataru pauses on seeing what might be some sort of farm hidden near the treeline to his south-east.

Well, no sense standing around here, he muses as he picks up the black card...

"Hey, anyone! Can you guys hear me?!"

Ranma grimaces as yet again, nothing responds over his communicator save silence. "Damn it...!" he slips the black card into his pocket. "If it's not one thing, it's another!" he mutters under his breath before taking a chance to look around him.

Where Ataru found himself in a vast field of grass, Ranma is in a forest tucked in some valley someplace. Aligned in a roughly north-east/south-west direction, it was clearly close to sea level given the thickness of the air and the relative warmth. Noting that, plus the height of the trees surrounding him, Ranma bites his lip. "Seems like Japan, but where...?" he mutters under his breath before a faint snap! from the north causes him to spin around.

Without hesitation, the martial artist races through the trees, reaching out with his well-honed chi senses to lock in on whatever it was that made that noise. Before long, he nearly runs into a three metre-high fence topped with razorwire, it bordering a paved two-lane road. Noting that, Ranma grins, then effortlessly springs over the fence to make a two-point landing on the road. "Least this new body does what I want it to do," he mutters to himself before taking a chance to glance up and down the road. "Okay, which way to go...?" he stops on seeing a sign on the other side of the road. Immediately, he heads over to gaze on it:

Nerima: 11 km
Edogawa: 31 km

"Nerima...?" Ranma blinks, then sighs. Any port in a storm...

"What the FUCK is this place?! Some sort of furry animorph convention?!"

Tariko rubs the side of her head in open-mouthed disbelief as she watches what has to be the most bizarre thing she (either as herself or as Ataru) had ever seen: a pack of a dozen girls -- could she really call them "girls?" -- fighting it out with about a half-dozen other girls -- and Tariko would be VERY hard-pressed to use the term "girls" with the second group. And this was no mere gang fight, what one might expect from the girl gangs now rising from the more seedier parts of Japan.

This was all-out, no-holds-barred WAR!

A burst of flame leaps into the air towards Ataru's sister, making her duck behind a tree with a yelp, then she clamps her mouth shut, hoping that whoever or WHATEVER was out there didn't hear her. After a minute, Tariko shakily looks around the tree to see the less-human pack trudge off towards a nearby fast-running river. The more human-looking girls -- though all of them possessed dog-like ears and tails, not to mention a thin layer of fur over their unclothed skin -- yelp and bark at their enemies, clearly enjoying the victory. What the hell were they fighting over? Tariko muses to herself, then ducks behind the tree again as the pack of dog-women surge away from the battle site, heading down along the riverbank.

Tariko watches them go, then rubs her forehead. "Moroboshi, you are in it deep," she mutters to herself before the cracking of branches behind her makes her turn...

"No, Nerima is NOT an option..."

Kikuko shakes her head as she gives the road sign a final glance -- it indicates that Nerima is 22 kilometres away -- then she looks across the street at the other road sign. "Tomobiki, eh? Maybe the others landed near there." Noting that said town was eight kilometres away, Ranma's sister grins, then she heads off.

Taking the chance to look around, Kikuko is quick to note that the mountains lining both sides of the road seem to go on forever. No doubt, the Tomobiki of this dimension was some sort of valley town. If that was so, she would have to be on her best behaviour; isolated towns like that usually produced people who didn't take too kindly to strangers, especially if they were without anything save the clothes on their backs and a non-operational alien communicator.

Well, Kikuko -- as Ranma -- had roughed it for ten years. And even if she did learn a lot of bad habits during the training trip, Kikuko could guess what could be expected of her in this society. According to the ship before the warp drive overloaded, the inhabitants of this world were Earth-type humans, though the ship's computer also reported that many here -- mostly the females -- possessed some odd genetic enhancements to their base DNA. As to what they exactly were, neither the Saotomes or the Moroboshis had learned before they had been forced to abandon ship.

"THERE SHE IS!!!! GET HER!!!"

Kikuko jolts, then turns to see something that makes her jaw hit the asphalt.

Now that they're on the pokegirl world, we...
