Alien Shepherds: The Virus: If it worked for Ranma it will work for others. [Episode 30593]

by Ijuin-kun

The aliens had decided from Ranma's memories that he was typical of all of the worst characteristics of the people of Earth: unreasoning stubbornness, lack of forethought, lack of patience, and a lack of respect for other people and their opinions or feelings. This lack of empathy appeared to be the most immediate concern, as the human media they had viewed showed that many humans who gained power tended to quickly use that power to abuse other humans, only being kept in check by those individuals known as "heroes", who themselves were often prone to impulsiveness.

However, Ranma's memories had also told them something that intrigued them. It seemed that the identity-dislocation caused by his Jusenkyo "curse" had, over time, served to reduce the worst effects of his upbringing because it offered a suitably different viewpoint from his original one. Despite Ranma's intense disliking of the curse, it had been good for him.

Such was the line of thought which led to the aliens' next decision. If this intermittent gender-dislocation was beneficial to Ranma, then it would likely be beneficial to other Earth people as well. All that was needed was a slight modification to the virus that they had used in California, in order to allow the gender-change to be switched on and off by the appropriate temperature water, and the effect would spread planet-wide in just a few weeks.

Note: I am taking the idea for this from the fanfic "The Virus", in which a virus contracted by Ranma mutates to spread the gender-change worldwide.
