........the Masaki Shrine. Strange, he hadn't thought about that place for a long time. Not that he had that much time to think about anything except fighting. But he SHOULD have thought of that place earlier since it was remote and the Shrine itself was rather peaceful. It would've been a perfect place to go to when all the craziness here just got too much instead of the nearby forest.
There was no helping that now but the more he thought about it the more sure he was that no one would find him there for some time (believing that NO ONE would find him there was wishful thinking!). Not even Genma knew about it, oh sure he knew about the Shrine since he'd try to steal from it a couple of times but he didn't know that Ranma knew the Shrine priest. And Mr Masaki did offer to teach him that sword style......not that he needed to learn it.......but it would make a good excuse.
With the mater settled in his own mind Ranma headed off.

One train ride later (clinging to the roof of the baggage car for dear life), several hours on an aging biplane piloted by someone calling themself 'The Scarlet Baron' (it seemed a good idea at the time!) and several bus changes later plus two hours of walking found Ranma at the steps leading up to the shrine.
The place seemed to have changed a little bit, in fact it seemed a bit greener and even more vibrant with plant life then he originally remembered and the steps seemed to have been neglected for some time given how dirty they were.
Ignoring it he quickly ascended the steps three at a time until he reached the top only to be greeted by the sight of.....
