Ranma came to a intersection in the road and stopped, from here on there were three possible routes he could take. Down the road to his left would eventually take him to a bar he'd passed on occasion called 'The Last Hope" where he could get stinkin drunk. The middle road that lead strait ahead would eventually lead him to downtown Tokyo, where.....he didn't know what would happen to tell the truth, all that was important was that it would take him far from here. Then there was the raod to his right that would take him out of Nerima and away from civilization, from there he could go wherever he wanted or just stay in the forest for a while and train.....and think.

Tensing his shoulders he turned around and looked back the way he'd come. He could always go back to the Tendo home and, if Akane or anyone else started bothering him over why he took so long he could say Akane'd punted him into a train car. None of them would care about the excuse as long as it was given, Nabiki might but he just had to put up a brief fight and then concede to some more photo's of his female form. The other girls though wouldn't care one whit as long as everyone else saw them as very normal heterosexual girls instead of a bunch of girls secretly in love with each-other and constantly stabbing him in the back to achieve their own perverted ends (or in the case of Shampoo: perverted/lecherous/slutty). Then all he'd have to do was put on his 'stupid' face and watch his back for the rest of his life lest the fiance's take advantage of his cursed form.

Before Ranma's eyes the road back to the Tendo home rippled then the walls surrounding the homes to his left and right seemed to......stretch into infinity right to the horizon and further it seemed. Just as Ranma's mind began to really comprehend a fraction of what was happening the point that appeared infinitely far away twisted and rippled before exploding into a point of light bright enough to force him to close his eyes, even then though he could still see the intense light through his eyelids. And just as suddenly as it occured the flash of light ceased and for a few minutes Ranma was forced to blink his eyes to get rid of the flash's after-image. Then he angrily wiped the tears from his eyes and looked at what had caused them.
Where before there had been a road leading back to the Tendo home there now stood (floated?) a circle of deep blue that seemed to shimmer like ocean water with sunlight playing over the surface except the light was blue as well. Cautiously he stepped forward 7 feet until he was a foot away from the circle of light. Then:
