Which suited the Phoenix Mountain woman just fine, because she had need of a test subject. It simply would not do to try her new weapon out on someone that she was sure was one of the pigtailed boy's friends, only to misuse it and wind up creating something unexpected by mistake. No, it was better to try it out first, and if it worked then she could be sure of her plan's success against Ranma. And if it did, she would be able to have her own genie to combat his two.
(Not that this would neccessarily prevent any other screwups she might make.)
It was simple enough. Just a little sneaking, taking aim, and then pull the trigger...
A bolt of light of light sped from the Duplicator and flew to strike the oversized key bearing woman dead center in the back. With the hit, there was a burst of light that momentarily had Kiima wincing from the glare. When that settled down, she looked and realized that there was no trace of her target.
She blinked and looked from the space where the woman had been to the Duplicator and back again, while:
