Setsuna's New Life: A detour in China [Episode 32234]

Ranma grumbled as his old man had just run off, saying something about getting directions to this wonderful new training site in his booklet.

In other words they were lost again.

This time in the mountains of China.

Ranma took the snares out of his backpack and started going around to what looked like game trails, griping about having to catch the food and forage. Of course, it was better if he did. The old man would probably come back empty handed but less hungry than usual if he'd done it, denying everything.

"Hmmm?" Ranma said aloud as he noticed a recent landslide and a glitter. Glitter might just be some glittery rocks, or it might mean something valuable.

Going over to investigate showed polished stone with a design that looked kind of hindu to his untrained eye. He puzzled over it long enough for the idea of ancient monastery with forgotten martial arts manuevers to pop into his head, at which point his enthusiasm increased dramatically.

Whacking at the face of it and trying to find a way to enter eventually cracked open a small hole, which Ranma was able to squirm through. On the other side though was a greater than expected fall.

He had to let his eyes adjust to the gloom, as the only illumination seemed to be the hole he'd just opened. Ornate pillars and a vaulted ceiling seemed to uphold his hidden monastery idea at least.
