Hidden Secrets: When the left hand dosen't know what the right hand is doing. [Episode 32253]

"Emi, Darling, you are next in line to lead the clan," the shadowy figure anounced.  "The time has come for you to gain experience in the way of the yakuza.  I have decided that you will start by working with Koga.  He has a small task to begin with, have you not Koga?"

"Yes," the kneeling thug bowed to the floor.  "Some years ago a man borrowed money from the clan for his wife's opperation.  The wife died, leaving the man with three daughters, a large house and a huge debt.  Recently he has been having trouble meeting the repayments."

"Yes, yes, that will be quite suitable.  Emi, your test will be to recover the clan's money."

"I will not fail you!" the girl proclaimed and bounced eagerly.  The gathered yakuza could not help but notice that she was quite ... bouncy.

"Koga, a word of advice," the shadowy figure warned, "make sure your men do not get caught wrestling with Emi."

"Do not worry," Koga proclaimed, "my men can control themselves.  You can be sure none of us will be tempted to 'wrestle' with Miss Emi!"

"However, should it be unavoidable, warn them to watch for her flying dragon kick, her right hook and killer leg sweep!"

"Er, what?" Koga babbled.  "Wait, you actually meant 'wrestling'."

"Of course I did," the shadowed figure menaced.  "What did you think I meant?"

"er, hehh... epp?"

Nabiki was staring at Ranma while he practiced.  His arms were bare and showed no tattoos, but she was certain he was connected to the yakuza, somehow.  She'd figured that Genma's petty crimes must attracted the wrong person's attention at some stage.  It would be like him to sell his son to the yakuza.  Perhaps Genma even worked for the clan himself; his martial arts skills would have made him useful.  His crimes across Japan, always on the move, it suddenly all made sense to Nabiki.

Ranma stopped his katta and looked at Nabiki with a puzzled expression.  She tried to maintain ice calm and not wet herself as she wondered what he would do if he knew she was aware of his dark secret.  She had thought she knew what Ranma was capable of, but if he worked for the yakuza he could be capable of anything.  She wondered what he was thining.

'Nabiki's been acting strange all afternoon,' Ranma thought.  'I wonder what she's scheming this time?  Oh well.  I wonder what Kasumi's making for dinner?  I hope its katsudon.  Hmmm.... Katsudon....'

Nabiki paled further, convinced by his expression that Ranma was planning something sinister.

"So, while Emi is busy, I need you to deal with this Ranma person," the figure anounced from the shadows.  "Can you handle the details?"

"Leave it up to me, Boss," Tanaka anounced.  "However, may I ask what this is about?"

"Of course.  Some years ago Emi was attacked by a gang of thugs who did not know she was my daughter."

"Ah, and this Ranma lead the assault."

"No, no, he rescued her by taking on the gang alone."

"But then... I don't understand, Boss?  Why the vendeta?"

"While it is true that I owe this Ranma for rescuing Emi, she has become infatuated with the boy, even though that is their only meeting.  Should she meet him again I am afraid that she will do something foolish.  She can do better than some street rat."

"I see, Boss, but isn't killing him a bit extreme?"

"Of course it is you fool!  I just want you to make sure he won't take advantage of Emi!  Take care of it while Koga keeps her busy."

"Of course, Boss," Tanaka bowed.  "I know just the person to 'take care' of young Mr. Saotome."

"Excellent!" the figure gloated from the shadows.  "And now, when is someone going to replace this &*!&@^% lightbulb!"

And so, while Emi and Koga where heading to the Tendo dojo to extort back the money Soun owed, Tanaka called ...
