• The crypt is under the city. Too bad for the Seanchan that their Damane's attack knocked Mat into it when they invaded.
• Not a crypt, it's an urn filled with the ashes of a vampire. Ashes which can be restored with blood. And it was mixed in with the Ter'angriel collection in the Rahad.
• Mat finds it somewhere else
• Someone else finds it somewhere else.
• Something Else
