Furry Senshi: Lycanthropies Go International [Episode 32602]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Setsuna sighed as she watched television in hotel room with Onoli-san, it was national Japanese station, well-known source of news through television. She knew it was inevitable. As the number of Lycanthropies increased rather dramatically, the world was bound to take notice.

Sitting in a chair to the right of the couch, Cologne kept her eyes on the television set. She herself was rather surprised at how observant these people must have been. She was confident in the fact that it would have taken the people in positions of power at least three more days to realize what was going on. She wasn't sure if this would make things easier or more difficult for them though. Cologne's gut instinct, however, gave her the feeling that getting things out into the open would have reprocussions both positive, and negative...

Sitting on the couch with Setsuna, Onoli watched the television. It always made him wonder how technology could convey image and sound through a small box, but it was highly interesting. And what was being shown was of great interest. Lycanthopies were being noticed and were now the latest story.

"In current news, the sightings of strange, animal-like people that have been all over the area of Tokyo, and dubbed as, 'Furries' by the people who spotted them have had their existence confirmed." The news-anchorman began. "A good percentage of Tokyo General Hospital's staff has been changed into either wolf-like or rat-like people. They have explained that they have become werewolves and wererats. The spreading seemed to have started with a fight between one wererat patient, and two werewolves. Their names are being withheld to protect their intterest."

After a long silence, the news-anchorman added, "One good thing we have been assured is that the new werebeasts cannot spread this disease. They explained have been warded by a Mage who happened to come to help. While they should pose no threat, the Emperor of Japan has declared that those uninfected should distance themselves for the time being, until more is noticed."

"This makes things quite more difficult..." Setsuna groaned. "I need some asprin."

Onoli shook his head. "Setsuna, you're taking too much. It's not good for your body."

Setsuna sighed. "There isn't any way I can persuage you to give me my meds, can I?"

"Not unless you're willing to give him something he needs..." Cologne muttered, smiling to herself. She mentally congratulated herself as Setsuna and Onoli began blushing. "Still, this shouldn't be too bad. I mean, this is just in Japan at the moment. We can take care of our business here before the UN decides to get involved. After all, they could not handle such a force.

However, Cologne had under-estimated the world's interest in Lycanthropies. Apparently, Gin and her sister made quite a splash with the scientific world with their discoveries, which gave Cheetah some spotlight. And so, as more news of weres in Japan surfaced, other networks around starting conveying the information around the globe.
