As the pot heated up and a wonderful aroma of something cooking wafted on the breeze, everyone got a good look at the new jaguar on the block.

Whose name was:

Minako Aino, whose parents received an engagement to Ranma due to a meal shared at a campfire with Mister Aino years ago.
Ami Mizuno, who received an engagement to Ranma as a promissary note for medical bills after a little incident involving a pit of cats.
Hotaru Tomoe, who apparently was arranged by Genma's father and Ranma's grandfather.
Michiru Kaioh, due to something arranged by her father with Genma and nobody's quite sure of the details.
Makoto Kino, who had found a note in with her father's papers about a deal with Genma.
