There were all those interesting smells and sights at the beach. The salty air of the sea. The ticklish scent of bird feathers. The dissicating strands of kelp and other seaweed on the shoreline. The fallen coconuts in the sand. The broken seashells and colored pebbles. So many new things; Usagi had to see and smell them all!
Over there, a translucent jellyfish had become stranded in the sand. Oh! And the waves just washed it out again. Over here, a crab was scurrying into a burrow. It is a deep hole? Hey! Over there was a baby sea turtle! How cute! It was waddling along really fast on the sand, but it was going the wrong way! It's headed towards the forest!
Usagi quickly hopped towards the baby sea turtle, in order to pick it up and bring it to the sea. Except it kept scurrying away. It was quite quick, too, as the near-human bunny girl found out. After six attempts to hop over and pick up the turtle, she started fuming. No turtle was going to outrun this rabbit!
All over the beach, Usagi chased the baby sea turtle. Faster and faster she hopped. And faster and faster the baby turtle went. It was as if it was flying. The girl stopped. Hey, it was flying! Like a bird. And it was chirping like one, too.
Uh-oh. There were several chirps that answered back to the flying turtle. Now, some more chirps joined in the chorus. Lots of chirps. And there they were. A whole flock worth of chirps.
"Master!" wailed Usagi, as she ran back towards the wrecked boat. Behind her, a cloud of flying turtles were hot on her puffy cotton-tail.
