Why this one? flashed the Symbiont in the non verbal language form it was utilizing at this speed.
Because it's cool, responded Ranma's sleeping mind as the Symbiont temporarily took command.

The Nerima regulars paused as Ranma was surrounded by blue light that formed a sphere that actually seemed to freeze them as it came into contact with body parts. The symbiont merely absorbed heat energy from the surrounding air and any objects nearby as an additional power source. It was efficient because the various attackers were dispersed as they fled the sudden frost as atmospheric moisture was frozen.
Genma, closest to Ranma and slowest getting away, had enough experience with the condition (training with the Master) to realize that he had the symptoms of severe frostbite.
Ice and other substances transmuted to glowing motes as they were drawn onto Ranma's body. The armor formed.
Thick metal claws, broad metal wings, a helmet with no apparent eyes or breathing holes. Ranma was totally encased in cobalt blue armor with a breastplate, bracers, leggings, helm decorations, and wings of pure chromed silver. In the center of the chestplate, the Mercury symbol pulsed a light blue in time to the Host's heartbeat.
The blue glowing sphere faded, followed by several cracks and crunches as items that had been lowered to near absolute zero temperature crumbled away. Ranma remained standing in midair as the floor beneath him fell apart.
There were a few moans and groans from people whose fingers or limbs had come into longer than momentary contact with the sphere.
The helmet moved around as the Symbiont (who had no need of eyes and could feed filtered air to the host) considered the various threats and how to deal with them. Host didn't want them permanently hurt. That still left a considerable amount of room for individual judgement.
