The sudden transformation, and icing, had taken the attackers a back... for all of five seconds. It was just long enough for them to conclude that Ranma either had either learned a dangerous variant of the Soul of Ice or been possessed by some ice monster. Either way the solution everyone came up with was the same.
"Don't worry Ran-chan, I'll save you!" Ukyou cried as she swung the remains of her spatular at his head.
"Bwahaha! Now you die, Ranma!" Ryoga cried as he thrust a ki charged finger at his ice engased foe. "Shatter like ice!"
"Ranma! How dare you attack Ryoga!" Akane growled as she swung the first blunt object her hands could find.
"So, verily doth the demon show it's true form!" cried said blunt object as Akane swung him. "I shall vanquish thee! Strike! Strike! Strike!"
"Aiya! Shampoo know how to warm arien up!" the Joketsuzoku cried as she pulled a blanket and futonout of nowhere and began to strip down. "Ranma come share body warmth, no!?"
"Saotome how dare you make Shampoo stripdown!" Mousse cried, paused and reached for his glassed. "Shampoo! You look ... ack... like a withered monkey?"
'Wack' resounded a walking stick on the boy's head. "Who's a withered monkey?" Cologne demanded.
"Quick, Akane!" Soun cried as he spied an opportunity, "get under those blankets!"
"Ranma! Get in there and warm up!" Genma cried.
"Noooo! Give me back my clothes, Daddy!""Eeek! What pervert girl doing here? Shampoo no like that!"
"Hey! Watch where you're putting your hands you... ohhh! No not there!""Oh ho ho ho ho!" Kodachi cried as she made a dramatic entrance. "At last you show your true colours, Akane Tendo."
Through the chaos Ranma gave up trying to explain. Saotome Secret Technique, he sent to the symbiont while turning to run at his top speed.
Initiating strategic withdrawal, the symbiont agreed and engaged bio-boosters.
The result was not what either partner had anticipated. Ranma was normally extraordinary fast and the symbiont augmented its host's abilities exponentially. Ranma flashed out of the Tendo yard like a quicksilver thunderbolt before he even got a chance to leap over the wall. Fortunately the hurtling form was practically invulnerable. The same could not be said for the brick wall, or the houses across the road, the construction site behind them, the trees in the vacant lot or the fence over the canal.
Ranma finally put his foot down to jump as they reached the far side of the cannal and the ever helpful symbion engaged jet assistance.
"Waaaahooo!!" Ranma screamed through the faceplate as they hurtled skyward. Their flight leveled out somewhere inside the cloudlayer. I'm flying! Ranma paniked.
Interesting, the symbiont observed dispassionately. Your vapour trail appears to be seeding the clouds.
I'm flying! Ranma realised. Hey, I'm flying!
Yes, the symbiont flashed back. However, this unit suggests that you find a place to land before your reserve power runs out.
Yeah, I'm getting tired fast, Ranma replied. How come?
This unit is a biobooster symbiont, the armor replied. This unit channels and amplifies its host's bioenergies. While our combined abilities far exceed your normal capabilities, the process is draining.
Gotcha, Ranma said after a moment's thought. You use my battle aura as a battery.
That is what this unit said, the symbiont agreed.
Then we better land fast, Ranma decided and plummeted for the ground. Where's a good spot?
The symbiont formed ice plate in frount of Ranma's eyes into a lens as they tracked the ground. This unit is unfamilar with this terrain, it sent.
There! Ranma decided quickly and ajusted his flight. Weee, this is fun! I feel like I'm in a dragon ball manga!
You adapt amazingly, the symbiont observed. Which is fortunate as this unit calculates that we could not survive an impact at this velocity.
You mean I should slow down? Ranma asked and did so.
That would be most prudent! the symbiont agreed as they approached touch down.
Right, I guess we should rest up then train, Ranma observed as he staggered away from the small impact crator.
Confirmed, the symbiont agreed dryly as the ice armor vapourised with a surge of chi. A period of recharge and calibration would appear to be mandatory.
Ranma yawned. "Let's get under cover before... awe man. Why'd it haveta rain now?"
As noted, this unit observed that our vapour trail seeded the clouds.
"Whatever," Ranma observed as he hurried to find cover. "Can't I ever catch a break?"
