Ramna didn't know what to make of this costume. It seemed to be made of black silk, with just enough material to cover her breasts, leave her stomach bare, and still manage to be, somewhat, decent in front. It also came over her shoulders leaving her back mostly exposed, having thin silk cords criss crossing the back, and resuming full coverage at the small of her back. Leather boots that came up to her knees, yet still look feminine, and a leather belt as wide as her wrist to cinch it around the middle.
That was what caught her eye, not the belt itself, but what was on it. A sword, a western sword. It looked like something straight out of mideival Europe. Not that Ramna knew that, she only knew that this "costume" had a real steel sword on it. Nor was it the only weapon Ranma saw. In sheathes strapped to the boots were two daggers easily a foot long each. On the belt itself there were four knives about six inches each, as well as another really big knife. It had to be two feet long, four or five inches wide, and a half inch thick at least! That thing looked like it was more of a short sword than a knife.
There were also pouches and pockets all over the belt. Some filled with what seemed to be herbal medicines. Others with bandages or various types of powder of some kind. One that had to be magic, since she could put whole arm up to the shoulder in it, and still not touch bottom, weird. That one also contained several changes of clothing, with undergarments, and a thick wool cloak. The biggest shock was when she opened up a normal looking pouch, and pulled out a large handful of coins. I mean no way could that be real gold, right?
Regardless though this one seemed the best deal since it had so much stuff.
What Ranma didn't realize was the instant she put it on she changed. Not too much mind, but it was easily noticed, both the major and minor. Her hair was still a feiry red pigtail, her eyes still blue, and she was still short and buxom. Now though her ears were long, very very long, being almost two feet in length, and ending in sharp points. Her skin became paler, not a whole lot paler just a little bit, still healthy looking though. Her scars from various training accidents were gone now, elves don't scar.
Other changes also occured, she just wouldn't learn of them until later, some much later. She was now immune to just about any disease or virus that existed, hell she could probably survive Ebola. Might not be happy, but she'd survive. Also no poison or toxin could kill her now, hell Akane's cooking, and Kodachi's potions would just slow her down a little, not make her sick or knock her out. Her senses were now sharper, twilight seeming like noonday to her eyes, whispered conversations sounding as if shes right there, not across the room. Though she didn't realize it she was also faster and stonger then at any other time in her life. She also had a stronger, deeper, connection to her soul. Magic and ki techniques would be easier for her to learn, and stronger than if she was still human. She also healed faster than even she normaly did. All part and parcel to being an elf.
What she didn't know, probably wouldn't know for some time to come, is that she's now basicaly immortal. Oh sure, she could still die, just not from old age. In fact she wouldn't even have to worry about the common problems associated withold age, memory or heart problems, 'til she's at least three thousand years old. Only something like a broken neck or the like, accidental or otherwise, would end her life now.
So having put on her new "costume", and thanking the wizard, she stepped out of the shop to find:
