Ranma exited the shop and continued walking, fingering her new outfit idly.
*You are not usually so pensive, young one.*
"And you're not usually so talkative, old man," she replied quietly, with a slight smirk.
The form of a tall and dark skinned man appeared next to her, though distinguished more through his slightly transparent state.
*What worries you?* he asked, no less concerned despite his bluntness.
Ranma smirked a little more, the only indication of her little victory. "'There is no emotion, there is peace.'"
Without skipping a beat, the dark man replied, *'Let there be truth between your heart and the Force. All else is transitory.'*
"che" Ranma exhaled, but even that rebuke didn't keep the smirk from her lips.
She walked a little more, weaving in between the people of down town Tokyo. Eventually, she paused in front of a shop and answered the ghost.
"Master Windu, I am incomplete," she whispered, knowing that the ghost of a Master's Past would easily hear her. "Something is missing. I feel that I've been aware of it my entire life, but this need seems most keen since I have visited the Tailor, Master Garek."
*Your insight will do you well, padawan.*
"Che. Padawan, he says. Honesty between yourself and the Force, he says," she muttered, turning away from the store. "I don't need to remind you that I had already defeated Saffron before awakening your crystal."
Mace Windu looked at the shorter girl with a raised eyebrow, *And which was the real test of your abilities?*
"Bringing Akane back," Ranma whispered, without boasting.
It had been a tumultuous six months since her ordeal at Horaisan. The usual chaos surrounding her as the expectation of "Joining the Schools" reverberated through the Nerima ward, including a surprise double wedding for her and Akane. It was shortly after that she noticed something special about the amethyst crystal she had since Jusenkyou.
She felt a probe from the ghost, light but insistent. Mind links and dances of telepathy were strange to her, even after spending several solitary training trips to learn from the ghost of Jedi Master Mace Windu. It took a long time for her unlearn her mistrust and her unhealthy ego, which formed a block that kept her blind to the ways of the Force. However, she did not manage to completely order her mind, with her fear of cats being a major block.
However, she did notice the direction of the probe within her mind, and looked inward herself.
