"Let me think."
"Please, Airen. This would be so good !!"
While thinking, Ranma looked at Shampoo's body and began to blush. 'Look at those br...' WHACK !! Ranma caught himself, and seriously thought about it. (That is, more than one minute.)
"I know !! You want a true date ? How about a trip to China ? I mean, well, you tell the old ghoul you come with me, I just tell pop I'm on a training trip, and that's it. And we go nowhere near Jusenkyo, OK ?"
"Training trip ? Airen wants to train ? But in what ?" Said Shampoo, cudling against his body.
"Well, there is just this new technique I want to experiment, and I really don't want to try it in Nerima, or around pop or the pervert. And of course, we could make use of some spare time to date."
"Shampoo says OK !!"
Follows a sequence where Ranma is glomped by a naked Shampoo, stumble into a separated pool where the water isn't so hot, Ranma-Chan runs in fear before Neko-Shampoo, etc...
"Listen pop, I am going on a training trip. I will be alone. The school will restart in three weeks, so I'll be back before class. You will not come along with me. Understand ?"
Ranma was standing in front of a seriously pissed off Genma Saotome, who couldn't understand why his ungrateful son wouldn't acknowledge the fact he was going to come with him.
"No ! I'm your father. I want to know what kind of training I can't handle."
"What kind of training ? The kind only a man who has gone through the Soul of Ice training and who has fought with Saffron can attempt. Pop, try to understand. I'm trying to invent a new martial technique, and I need to be alone. You should understand that. You were alone when you invented the Umi-sen-ken and Yama-sen-ken techniques, weren't you ?" (Congratulation !! Ranma said something sensible.)
"Alright. I give you two weeks. But on your honor, as a martial artist, when you return, you must tell me if you have succeeded. And you must give me a demonstration."
"I'll tell you if I succeed, but no demonstration, unless you finally train me into the Yami-sen-ken."
"Deal ! You return, a demonstration, and the Yami-sen-ken technique is yours." Answered Genma, proud that his son would finally prove himself as a master, by creating his own technique. Sure, Ranma already was the best adaptative fighter he knew, even greater than Happosai, but all he had ever done was to invent variants of techniques, not truly creating new techniques.
Ranma was a bit puzzled. Usually his father would do anything to keep him in control, but this time he looked more ... normal calm, that's it ! But Ranma would not let go his sudden luck.
"Ok, bye Pop. Tell everybody I'm on a training trip." With these words, Ranma grabbed his backpack, and began roof-hopping. Toward the Neko-Hanten...
