"So, we have to combine with the men, hm?" Jura was asking.

The Van pilot tried not to twitch.

"That is what the doctor said," Meia said in reply to the blonde's question.

"But Dita is the one who's supposed to combine with Mister Alien..," said the red-head.

"Ah... yes..," Jura said, "But it's nice to share..."

"That does bring up a good point," said Meia.

"What do you mean?"

"There are four men, including this 'Ranma' and an entire ship's crew of women."

"That's not cool..."

The Dread leader frowned at the odd weight in her chest. "For the doctor's idea to work, the men would have to..."

Dita's eyes widened. "But Mister Alien's... I..."

"Sharing might be nice... I wonder if Barnette is calmed enough..."

"I doubt that Hibiki would enjoy that idea," put in Meia.

"Lighten up. I can deal with Barnette. It justs takes some... convincing, that's all."

"Somehow that doesn't fill me with confidence."

Trying his best to pretend to be to asleep, Hibiki had to agree.

"I can at least try it out myself first," said Jura with a shrug.

The Van pilot thought about his predicament for a moment and:

• decided to see if he couldn't sneak out.
• ... realized that women had noticed that he was awake.
• wondered what the other guys were doing.
• tried to figure out how the rest of the crew were reacting.
• gave up to the inevitable and got up to talk to the women.
• then tried to think about something else.
