Charles Francis Xavier was perplexed. This was not something that happened often, mind you, despite the bewildering nature of his school and students.
Let me explain.
You see, in the course of a long, oft-paraplegic, occasionally prolonged life, Professor Xavier had had contact both personal and carnal with an Empress of a extra-Galactic power, had developed a protective attitude to Humanity's continued evolution to Mutantkind, and managed to build a School for training the latter, the cream of the crop often becoming his strike force, the reknowned X-Men.
This all got started due to his massively potent psychic gifts, primarily Telepathic.
So, when the sudden blooming of a MAJOR Psionic mindset came without any echoing reading on Cerebro, which he'd been scanning the globe with in search of updates on matters genetic (read: checking for more data on/just-plain-MORE mutants) he was not stunned--other ways to Power are known--but he was perplexed.
And as I said, this ain't a common occurance.
So it's with some sense of relief for a new thing to think of when he recieved a unique telepathic signal, one beamed via Psi-tech from the distant Shi`ar Throneworld.
It was with far greater Vuja De (the sense this is gonna happen again) that he neatly had his wonderings answered by Lilandra's report on a certain Nendo-Kata, all this while Jay is pulling up to deliver the MIB's report on that very subject to the notoriously meddlesome Institute for Gifted Children in hopes of preventing the usual chaos THIS time.
