Now on with the story... Oh and PS: It's from a slightly air-headed_Kasumi POV.
Kasumi smiled as she watched Ranma-kun at his game. He could be so funny sometimes. Ranma-kun was immitating perfectly her favorite gaijin comedy movie, "Clue". He had gatherred up all his friends to play with him and had given each an important part of the game as a suspect.
Ranma-kun had even been so kind as to allow her to play too. One of the others had tried to spoil her fun by saying no one could ever believe her as a criminal but Ranma-kun had jumped right in to defend her by saying, "It's always the quiet ones.. butlers, cooks, maids, housewives.. they're always guilty!" he had proclaimed nobly in her defense while posing just like that detective-butler guy had in "Clue". After that everyone had agreed to let her play too.. 'Oh my it is so exciting to be part of the fun!'
Ranma-kun had then ran everyone (217 guests had joined in the fun.. most of them were apparently friends of Uncle Saotome's) back and forth over and over again through Nerima while reconstructing what had happened to the dojo's sign.
Ranma-kun's first playmate had been Akane-chan. Ranma-kun had outlined a plot where an angry fiance had decided that if there was no dojo then she would not have to marry to inherit it. It had been a very good deduction but Akane-chan hadn't been in the mood to play. So Ranma-chan had decided to find someone else to play with while waiting for the kettle to heat up.
Ranma-kun had then played with all of their other guests one after another. Her favorite turn was her own. Ranma-kun had been so imaginative coming up with that idea where she had used the sign as a cutting board after an unknown tomboy had destroyed her old one while poisoning the city. Akane-chan had even played along with them and began to chase Ranma-kun around 'the crime-scene'. It was such a fun day!
Then Nabiki-chan had decided to play again, "Well that was productive. You just had us spend hours running around town and all of your suspects have been proven innocent. Great job Mr. Master Detective."
Ranma-kun looked so dejected as his game was coming to an end. Kasumi's smile began to falter in sympathy when suddenly she brightened, "Why don't we just follow the sign's progress from one person's story to the next and see where it was last?"
Akane-chan immediately proclaimed, "It was *NOT* my fault. I left the sign leaning against the dojo after my kick knocked it loose."
Father cried as he added, "I saw my poor sign unearthed and brought it with me into the house to keep it from being stolen.. like it was!" *WHAILS EVEN LOUDER*
Kasumi 'hmm'ed for a moment as she thought. "I saw a wooden sign on the counter and thought Uncle Saotome had misplaced one of his panda-boards. I might have given him the dojo sign by mistake.." she said with a bit of worry on her face.
Father did his special skill of 'demon-face' as he turned upon Uncle Saotome, "Saotome! How dare you use my dojo sign to speak and break it!"
Uncle Saotome 'eep'ed and then quickly splashed himself with water. Panda-san held up a sign, :: I'm just a cute cuddly panda! ::
Ranma-kun yelled out, "Oyaji, you idiot!"
The room went silent. The room stared as one at the panda-sign now lying broken on the ground after Ranma-kun broke it in anger at panda-san's actions.
Everyone slowly panned their gaze away from the ruined panda-sign and onto Ranma-kun.
Ranma 'eep'ed and then vanished from sight. My, that was a clever trick.
As one voice everyone who had had their day-off wasted traversing across Nerima in a wild goose chase while following Ranma all shouted out together, "Ranma! This is all *YOUR* fault!"
Everyone blinked then looked over at Kasumi.
"Oh, my." she said with a blush. Ranma-kun's friends always finished their game's with that line and she could understand it now. It was such a fun way to end a fun day.
THE END.
