Flash considered. There were two problems really. One was overcoming the directional curse; the other was locating a usable spaceship.
“Hmm… Maybe we need to consult with Doctor Zarkov,” Flash mused, thinking back to his own adventures. “He might know of something we could use.”
“Doctor Zarkov?” Ryouga asked, remembering tales he had heard as a child. Zarkov was always described as being older than Flash, and Flash wasn’t all that young anymore. “Wouldn’t he be… ah… dead?”
“Dead? Zarkov? Not the last time I checked. He’s somewhat bedridden, but his mind is still as sharp as ever. I’m sure he will be delighted to help us.” Flash assured the youngster.
“Really? That’s great!” For once Ryouga wasn’t depressed. Between his excitement at finally meeting the hero of his childhood tales and his anticipation of catching up with Ranma, he completely forgot his depression. Of course, he soon found something else to worry about.
“So where does Dr. Zarkov live anyway? I don’t think I have enough money for a trip to the States.”
“Don’t worry m’boy,” Flash replied.
