A familiar scene is playing out. Red headed girl running down the roads of Japan, screaming, "But, I don't WANT to get engaged!" Chasing her is : Hiko Seijirou! Who promptly clobbers her over the head with his sheated sword and dumps the unconscious body over his shoulders.

Flashback sequence: Jusenkyo!
"Right, boy, follow me!" "Yes shishou!" The two practitioners of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu jumped onto the thin bamboo poles standing amidst the pools of Jusenkyo.
"Honorable sirs, you no want to fall into pools! Very bad if fall into..."
WHACK! SPLASH! Hiko had just overhead dunked Kenshin in midair, sending him flying down into the nearest pond, "Was that the best you can do, foolish student? NO WONDER you decided to come back to me for more training after the end of the war! You'll never suceed to the 14th Master of Hiten Mitsurugi at this rate!"
"But I don't WANT to become... hold on a minute, somethings wrong with my chest... and my... ... ORO???"
"AIYAH! Well, at least sir was a girl to start of with, so no harm done. Right sir? Er...sir was not? Was in fact soft feminine Bishonen? uh oh..." with that bad grammar, you expect he knows the word madam?
On top of HIS pole, Hiko Seijirou just roared with laughter at his idiot student's latest fiasco. "This is funnier than that time you pee'd your pants!"
"STOP MENTIONING THAT IN PUBLIC!!!"

At the Tendo Dojo:
Megumi, "Hey, that might be Kenshin!"
Megumi, "Hey, that might be Ranma!"
Misao, "Do you think he might be an older man, who practices ninjutsu? Younger men and those who aren't ninjas don't interest me."
"Yah! Hah!" Kaoru finished off her kendo exercises, "So he's been trained with live steel, big deal. What's he like?"
SAITO HAJIME, their adopted father!!!, "He's the Hitokiri Batohsai, the greatest warrior of the last war, who slaughtered armies with his sword."
"WHAT???"
Ignoring them, Saito threw open the door and chuckled, "Kenshin, you haven't changed at all. Hiko Seijirou, still young looking as ever you bastard, can't you two grow old like the rest of us mortals?"
"He doesn't look so fiercesome," Kaoru thought to herself, "In fact, he looks a bit like a girl!"
