Ranma blinked as he felt the time line alter around him. His father transformed from just a ignorant martial artist to the Martial Arts Robotics Scientist Dr. Genma "Hikari" Saotome. The greatest expert in bionics, computers and robotics in the world. He was also skilled in the martial arts. He was know for his work on using cybernetics to aid those who's lives would have been destroyed by illness and injury. Those who were willing to try any method, no matter how experimental.
And that was what happened to the fiancees. They became girls that had been born with illnesses or had injuries that required massive and extremely experimental operations to give them a normal life. Nanobots altered the biological components to mix with the bionic elements to make them into a fighting force.
But there was a price for this aid. They had to become Ranma's bodyguards/Sparing partners/Robolovers. But in exchange for that, they were given great powers due to the nature of the added devices in their bodies. Weaponry that could be upgraded and ran on Dr. Hikari's special Psionic Ki system.
This was very important as Hikari had a former partner in his research. One that was twisted to the dark side of humanity. Who believed that Robots were built to enslave mankind under his reign. Who turned his healthy body into a deformed cyborg body. Who created mindless war machines called Virions to fight under his Cyborg Generals. Only Ranma's Girls, with their strange powers could defeat them.
All of this flooded into his mind as he realized something. 'Damn, I'm stuck inside some kind of magic girl anime!"
