Sheila looked at Ranma, he was right, she was shorter than him, but not by much. But she had to do something first, "Please move your arm off of me."
"Okay, but only if you move your hand off my butt."
Sheila blinked and looked, yep, her hand was on his butt, she didn't even realize it. Blushing, she took her hand off of him and Ranma removed his arm. "So what do you want to do?"
"I don't know, what is there to do around here?"
"Mostly adventuring, though some people are guards, teachers, though you only get to do that if you're good enough, and plenty of fighting."
Ranma's eyes lit up a bit, "Martial Arts?"
Shrugging she nodded, "Yep, though a lot of people don't learn just martial arts, there's magical arts, and some people are never formally trained."
"Oh you mean street fighters, ran into a few of them myself, not always skilled, but they at least know how to handle themselves." Ranma spoke as they were walking into Seer's Hamlet. "So what do you do?"
"Me, I'm a member of the Edge Guard, an elite force who're suppost to protect the peace." Sheila smirked at him.
"Oh so a fancy police force huh?"
Sheila stopped and narrowed her eyes at him, Ranma took one look into those eyes and knew one thing was for sure, this was going to hurt. "Are you making fun of me?"
"What, nonononononono. It's just that was a fancy way of saying police force, I'd never make fun of a cute girl like you." Ranma blinked, 'Great, there went my mouth again.'
Sheila blushed, sure she had heard it many times from Tirga or someone else, but for some reason coming from Ranma just made it worth more.
Just as she was about to speak up, someone threw water out the window and it hit Ranma square on, "Aw nuts." The now redhead muttered.
Sheila blinked, "What happened, are you like a Rakshasa or something similar?" She didn't think that there were many shape-shifters left on the Earth Realm.
"No, this a curse I picked up in China at a place called Jusenkyo. Anyway to make a long story short, I was sparring with my old man over some cursed springs when."
"Why would you spar over some cursed springs?"
"Because I'm a complete and total idiot who just blindly followed an even bigger idiot. Okay?"
"Um, yeah." Sure Ranma didn't seem like the smartest person in the world, but he or rather she at the moment, didn't seem that stupid.
"Anyways," Ranma waved his hands, "I knocked the fool into the Spring of the Drowned Panda. And I landed on a pole a couple of springs away, when instead of my pops, this panda jumps out. It startled me enough that I couldn't move, and he got a good shot in and well, I fell into the Spring of the Drowned Girl." Ranma then smirked, "Terrible tragic story of young girl who drown there 1500 years ago. And since then it's caused nothing but problems."
Sheila raised an eyebrow and asked dryily, "What, turning into a girl?"
Ranma put a hand behind his head, "That's not what I meant, I mean it's caused problems from people who don't even try to understand what it's like, some people just assume that I'm a pervert, or that it's not really a curse."
"I can understand somewhat."
"Really?"
"Yeah, you see, I happen to have a birth defect."
Ranma blinked and looked her over, starting with her feet, he raised his head until he reached her's. "I don't see a birth defect. You look perfectly normal to me, well, except that you've got c-c-cat-like features." His eyes widened and he waived his hands, "Ack, that didn't come out right. I mean, I've never seen a cat-person before, so you look a little different. Um shoot, that didn't come out right either."
Sheila laughed, it was funny, he didn't mean to insult her, but at the same time did, and was trying to make up for what he said. "It's alright, I know what you mean. How much do you know about Lycanthrope?"
Shaking his head Ranma spoke, "Not much."
"Well, okay, it's like this, all Lycanthrope have a human, hybrid, and full animal form, alright. All the Lycanthrope spend time in our hybrid forms as it grants most extra speed and strength."
"Most?" Ranma was wondering what she was getting at.
"Well you see, I'm different, I've got a birth defect that puts all my power into my human form, while my hybrid form is seen as childish, and because of that, well, most people think of me as a child, even though I'm an adult." Sheila was starting to get depressed thinking about how no one would take her seriously.
Ranma, being Ranma couldn't stand the site of someone being depressed. "Ahh, don't worry about it, most people are stupid, if they can't see what a wonderful girl you are, then they don't deserve to get to know you."
Sheila blinked, "You really think that?"
"Yeah, why shouldn't I? You don't take crap from anyone, you can easily defend yourself, and you're being nice enough to show me around. Most people I know wouldn't even do that."
"Thanks. So what do you want to do?"
"I'm new here, so why don't you tell me what we can do."
'I know quite a few things we can do, just the two of us in a bed with no clothing.' Sheila thought to herself, remarkably she didn't blush, outload she said, "Well we can,"
"Great, I'm hungry."
"That's okay, I need to know where I am in case I come back here."
"Sure why not?"
"Okay, I need a good fight anyways."
"Alright, let's go."
