The usual fiancees were completly taken off guard by this development, which was darn near alien to their way of thinking.
Akane had gotten angry as soon as the shock had worn off, turning back into a large mastiff. Now she was wearing a collar, lead, had a nice doghouse, and was chained to it. Also because of four quarrels loaded with drow venom, she was sleeping peacefully in her human form sprawled halfway out of her doghouse.
Nabiki was snapping pictures. For a picture of Akane like that she'd be able to get sums of money from Kuno that boggled even her mercenary imagination.
"No, we only add fiancees when there is a clear existing fiancee arrangement or when attacked," Miroko explained. "Then they get their induction ceremony, take the oath, followed by the official 'Fiancee Of Ranma Saotome' membership card, and welcoming gifts."
"I see, how nice," said Kasumi as the tea and biscuits were being laid out. They might be an army of strangers but they were polite. That made up for a lot in Kasumi's book.
Shampoo gathered herself and attacked. "You is obstacle, Shampoo kill!"
Shampoo blocked four drow bolts while making that announcement, rolled under a magical net, and leapt forward to avoid the catgirl.
Diving towards this impertinent girl, she stopped abruptly as the air seemed to thicken around her to the consistancy of steel. This included the air she was trying to draw into her lungs.
One of the sorceresses came forward. "This will never do."
