Sif-Chan: Megumi's reality check bounces [Episode 36385]

by Kestral

Megumi pulled her bike slowly to the side near the entry for the Temple that Keiichi and Bell were staying at.

"AKURYO TAISAN!" Sif leapt up into the air and was suddenly the center of a tornado of ofuda (spirit wards) that spiraled into a pattern around a half-human MONSTER?!

Three meters tall, undeniably female, wearing a tigerskin, horns, large metal-studded club. Yup. That was an oni all right.

Sif ran forward, swinging her warhammer around. "Agent Of Darkness, BEGONE!" crackle-THOOM!

"Heh heh heh!"

Slowly Megumi turned. Slowly her head tilted up. Three meters tall. Three eyes. Horns. Tusks. Tigerskin loincloth. Apparently the oni hadn't been alone.

"Grrrrrrrrr" CRUNCH

Megumi stared as the BIG transparent doggie pounced on the oni and began ripping into it.

"MEGUMI, CATCH!"

Megumi reflexively caught what Sif threw at her and stared at it silently. More spirit wards?

"By my patron deity, Evil Spirits BEGONE!" Sif finished, using a magic warhammer to punctuate her command.

Megumi continued to stare around her. No more oni. Gone. All gone. Twitch, twitch.

"Glad you weren't hurt, Megumi. Are you ready to go shopping now? Megumi? Megumi?! Megumi!"

Megumi fell off her motorcycle in a faint.

Elsewhere, Mara was a little alarmed. Sailor Mars had taken out three conjured oni without even transforming into her short skirt. Clearly they were even more formidable in real life than in the comic books!
