Emperor Ranma of Mongo: three villains of a different stripe [Episode 36427]

by Kestral

Mongo.

Not that huge a world, but very dense. Orbitting it were a number of moons. Each moon had its own subculture and species.

Except for one.

On that moon, things had gotten a little different. On that moon, things had gone a little strange.

For on that moon had come a timetravelling dog and his pet genetically engineered human.

Doctor Peachbody had decided that going it alone, except for his faithful companion Benji, and trying to do everything himself had been part of what had caused him problems in the past. That and that he was too subtle, and perhaps that his base of operations being a single timecraft had reduced his effectiveness.

Having escaped Earth's distant past, he was now rectifying these very situations.

He had decided to try something different. Soon, he hoped to have Gina Diggers, Penny Pincer, and a few select others as breeding material for Benji. He thought it would be most amusing to watch his pet "cover" his old foes and keep the girls in kennels.

The problem was that in fighting the combined "heroes" of Quagmire and the Diggers family and their allies, he'd had a distinct disadvantage in raw power and resources. Once he had almost been cut off from the time stream entirely. Too close for his liking...

Due to gaining a few allies of his own, and the fact that there had only been a few uncoordinated attacks on him since his invasion, he'd settled in quite well to the ice moon. True, even he and Benji could not tolerate the temperatures outside for long. Frozen carbon dioxide was the least of many troubles on the icy moon.

Theirs was a triumvirate of evil, each having extremely different goals and ends, but a single mutual goal. If Mongo could be crushed, it would provide an excellent source of materials and subjects for each of them to pursue their goals.

Doctor Peachbody had his bio-roids to carry out his fiendish plots.

Spellvis had managed to summon up golems and cast invisibility spells on the bio-roids.

Finally there was the Lich-king. Powerless from his position in the Undead Kingdom, but still possessed of a cunning mind and the inclination to utilize it. This plan would net him power of a different sort, and perhaps he would yet be able to manifest some personal power.

Ranma looked out at the fields of Glacia and shuddered. "How cold is it out there?"

"I could give you the Mongo temperature, but it might mean very little to you other than a number," said an aide. She consulted a gauge. "According to this, it is just slightly above the temperature for Carbon Dioxide to freeze. Good thing we arrived in the summer!"

Seeing Ranma didn't understand, General Grimm went outside with a glass of steaming hot water. By the time he reached the edge of the ramp, he upended the cup and let the ice shatter against the ramp's surface.

"Pretty damn cold," realized Ranma.

Suddenly:
