Ranma Saotome had a problem. Scratch that, Ranma had a whole ****load of problems, but he was only really worrying about one thing right now: namely, how the heck to get out of here. From everything that **** wizard had said and hinted at, he would have to buy something if he wanted to leave this stupid store. Hurriedly, he searched through the shop, which was actually a hellaluya lot bigger than it looked. And then he stopped in his tracks as he spotted a crate that had the most eerily yet beautiful sound, sorta like whistling, that he had ever heard. He walked at a more sedate pace, soaking in the haunting melody, and found its source to be a wooden cage, possibly bamboo, with what looked like four cute little critters inside. It seemed as if these four, somewhat uber-kawaii little creatures (at least I think they could be considered uber-kawaii in the first stage) were the source of the peculiar whistling. Picking up the wooden cage, Ranma went to the counter. "What are these little guys, and how much 'ya want for all four of 'em?" After all, he could give one to Ukyo since it was her birthday, one to Akane since she'd be jealous of Ukyo's if he didn't, keep one for himself (hey, you never know; he's never had a pet before, he might want one!,) and give the other one to someone else, probably Kasumi. 'Sides, it wasn't like Shampoo, Cologne, or Kodachi would want one (and it had nothing to do with the fact that none of the three were on his good side right now, nonono...)
"Those are Mogwai. 800 yen apiece. Though considering your rather... (the wizard almost said hilarious, but he doubted even he could have survived the like response,) interesting background, I'll accept 1500 yen for the four of them. Oh, and don't forget this." The wizard then put a smallish manual with kanji reading "An Keeper's Guide To Mogwai." Ranma blanched slightly but forked over the money. He'd only managed save up 2500 yen after his last enounter with Nabiki, but he could always take up Cologne's offer for another bout of waitressing or Tofu's offer as an assistant or secreatry if he really needed to.
"Before he left though he remembered that he would be giving at least two of these "Mogwai" to other people. "Say, ya' got another two or three copies of that manual?" The wizard then handed over three more copies of the manual, almost as if he had expecting that particular request.
After Ranma had left, the Spells R'Us Wizard grinned a malicious little grin that would have likely at least unnerved him if he'd seen it with his own two eyes, though he did still get a bad sink feeling when he was a few yards away from the shop. "And now the real fun begins."
