The Great Will-Dreaming: DAS Flu - A new threat to Ranma [Episode 36973]

by Kestral

Space and time settled into their new course with nary a whimper. If this were a Sailor Moon crossover, there might have been some cursing from the Gate Of Time but that would be about it.

The legal status of furries was a bit fuzzy. One set of laws had gone into effect and then another set, and a third. And then there was the prevailing attitude of the society as a whole.

DAS Flu had cut its swath through the world and left its mark.

Multiple marriages were typical. There were a lot of furries, not that many human girls. Most guys had one wife. A few had two. Some had three. It was really quite rare to find someone with more than three - almost unheard of. Most furries tended to prefer smaller "packs".

There were effects throughout the society since the initial epidemic had been in the 1950s. There was a long-running Americajin series, fairly popular in most markets, dealing with a young boy growing up with his dog-girl companion Wolfie. (In fact there had been four different TV series, six movies, and several different dog-girls all playing the same part - though in the various series the human companion(s) were changed around - the original was still in many ways the sentimental favorite. (Though some would point to the movie "Wolfie Come Home" where his faithful wolfgirl gets seperated from him only to die at the end of the movie saving her beloved master from a rabid bear - decades later and it would still cause anthro-lovers to burst into tears.)

Akane (an powerful gorilla-girl whose power was Density Increase - 2 levels), Akari (a demure and gentle catgirl without special powers), and Azusa (a kleptomaniac mousegirl whose power was Aura Sight) were the pets/wives of Ryouga Hibiki. He married the three after Junior High, though Azusa continued to cause problems for everyone else.

Genma Saotome had married the tigergirl Nodoka years ago. His son Ranma had tigerish qualities but was mainly human. In order to unite the two families, he'd taken as his second wife the ferretgirl Nabiki Tendo.

Kasumi Tendo (birdgirl, power: levitation), Kaori Daikokuji (wolfhound, power: minor telekinesis), and Kodachi Kuno (snake-girl, power: paralysis poison) had all married a local veterinarian/shiatsu specialist named Tofu Ono.

Ranma had no idea of any of this as he slept off Akane-gorilla pounding him into the ground. The Great Will was mainly going on automatic.

So he was also unaware that his genetic lineage marked him as an ideal father for producing very powerful furries. That he would likely produce exceptional specimens who enjoyed battle. That there was currently an arms-race to develop exceptionally powerful furries, who might not be that aggressive as warriors but if their kits or mate were threatened could become quite formidable fighters.

Which was why certain people wanted to see Ranma become a daddy. If the furries could become warriors, then their powers could be used to their original purpose as super-soldiers. This was why the Japanese government had arranged for such an aggressive young boy as Ryouga Hibiki to have his three wives at such a young age.

Therefore, the still unconscious Ranma was completely unaware of his mother having registered a special furry to be his pet and potentially wife. He was completely unaware of some people who were even now going to try and kidnap him to become the daddy of a new breed of warrior-furry. Or that the name of this organization was:
