Merle stood there in the nude, one arm around her chest, and the other down so her other hand woulkd cover her crotch. She stared at the two new comers... No, she redefined stared. Here she was, trying to bathe and clean herself up and look all presentable for Van, and now she had two people looking at her while she was nude. "This day sooo sucks..." Merle thought.

Looking at Ranma, Mere thought he seemed shell-shocked as he was staring back at her, almost in fear, yet with a slight awe. Merle couldn't help but admit to herself that he was kind of cute, he had a boyish charm like Van, and he had a similar style of clothing. (Merle liked guys in red shirts.)

The smiling woman however, put Merle on edge with a feeling that she should keep her guard up. The woman was a tall dark skinned lady0 with long straight black hair with two gold cat-like ears portruding from it. She was wearing a light silk dress-shirt, red leather pants that hugged her hips and legs, a pair of red leather sandals, and she wore gold jewelry of all sorts of strange markings Merle didn't recognize.

Clearing her throat, Bast said, "Rrranma Saotome, this is Merrle... She was borrn in the month of Orrange on the 30th moon. Since infancy when she was brought into the Fanelia's rroyal entourrage, this catgirrl has been Van's constant companion. Over the yearrs, she has become possessive of her childhood playmate, to the consterrnation of the girrl who Van's trrue feelings arre for, Hitomi."

Blinking, Merle said, "HEY! I AM NOT POSSESSIVE OF VAN! HE AND I DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER!"

"Except sex." Bast interjected, causing Merle to look downtrodden. "Well, don't worrry kid, I solved yourr prroblem. A nice fling with my fiancee Rrranma herre will do you a wonderr of good." So saying, Bast pulled Ranma's pants down.

"BAST!!!" Ranma said, practically jumping away, and ripping his pants in the process. "DARN IT BAST! WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!?" Ranma said, now standing there wearing only his shirt and boxers. Turning to Merle, he saw her blushing.

"What's wrrong Rrranma? Don't you want to get overr yourr fearr of cats?" She asked, curriously not understanding why Rrranma was so adamantly against the idea of having sex with a catgirl.

Merle however was staring once again. This time at Ranma's shapely butt. He might not have been Van, but at this point, Merle wasn't complaining.
