Unfortunately for Shampoo Claudius had miscalculated in assuming that New York would be as easy to take as Australia. He had miscalculated due mainly to the fact that he and most of his generals were ignorant of New Yorks history as the major center of Immigration for the United States east coast and as a partial result of this diversity a relatively large percentage of the Big Apples Population were descended from different sorts of Lycanthropes.
In fact many of New York's Cops and Fire Fighters were descended from Were-Wolves or Were-Rats, this was due in part to the large Number of Scotsmen and Irishmen in both Organizations. But also due to the meddling of the same higher power that had arranged for almost all the Senshi to be latent Lycanthropes.
Shampoo found this out later that day when she snuck into an occupied stall in the 21st precincts Ladies restroom and tried to ÔrecruitÕ it's occupant. Acting quickly Neko-Shampoo jumped into the lap of the stalls occupant and sank her claws into the woman's legs.
Staring arrogantly into her victims face watched as the stunned Police woman grew fur, claws, a tail and fangs. It wasn't until the dark red haired, and now furred, young officer had finished her first transformation that Neko-Shampoo realized that the lap was on belonged not to a were-cat but a very large, very muscular and very well built Lycanthrope of the Canine variety. It took a few seconds for Neko-Shampoo to go from ÒWhat the fuck?Ó to ÒOh Shit!!Ó deciding that discretion was the better part of valor Neko-Shampoo returned to hybrid form and crashed though the stall's door.
As she recovered from the double shock of having a very large oddly colored cat jump on and claw her then turn into a cat furry Kanuka Natsumi Sullivan, who hadn't noticed that she was now a Lycanthrope, realized that that cat must be one of those were-catÕs that were attacking the city. Seeing the fleeing Nekojin-Shampoo activated a new Canine instinct as well as a Police instinct which combined to trigger one overwhelming response, GET HER!!
