Britanny started to talk, but remembered something, "Say Ranma, since you're new and all, why don't we go to the kitchen. You can meet my dad and some of our friends."
"Yeah sure, why not?" He agreed, while thinking, 'Maybe this way I can at least find out more about the layout and possible enemies.'
Leading everyone to the kitchen, and finding out who they all were, Brit yelled out, "Hey Dad, our friends from Quagmire are here and they someone new." This got some people's attention. Theo frowned though, 'First the Wererats, then the Edge Guard, now out-of-towners, this is too much of a coincidence.'
Britanny led everyone in, most of them were easily recognizable, the only interesting thing was the new guy. "Okay let me introduce everyone," She waved a hand at the NHS crew, "Okay first most of you know Princess Asrail, the kunoichi is Ichi, their friend Jeremy Feeple," Tirga snickered at his last name until Shelia cloncked him over the head. "The mercenary Arnie, and the witch Mimi, and this is their new friend Ranma." She said pointing each of them out.
Most of the people were looking at Ranma with a critical eye, save Raphiel who was happy some more friends decided to show up. The male members of the Edge Guard noticed how easily he walked as he moved to the table, working with Julia and the weapons-masters let them see that he was obviously a fighter, Theo noticed a magical aura around him, however it was cloaked to a degree, so he didn't know how strong he was, but he had respect for someone so obviously skilled, 'Hmm, must have trained years to get that good, and to be that young as well.' (Too bad Theo didn't know that this was part of Iceron's programming, make it so that your enemy doesn't know how strong you really are.) Shelia on the other hand, 'WOW, I've died and gone to heaven and if I'm not dead yet let me say this, LORD THANK FOR THIS HUNK-AMONG-HUNKS!'
Clearing her throught, Britanny introduced her family, "Now everyone but Ranma here knows everyone else, so Ranma, here's my family and friends. That's my dad Theodore Diggers." They nodded at one another. "This is my husband Strype." Ranma smiled at him and gave him a firm handshake. "That other werecheetah is Raphiel." Said werecheetah smiled and waved, Ranma returned the guesture. "The werelion is Oloni," they nodded at each other, "The weretiger is Tigra." Said weretiger just waved. "The werepanther is Thropan."
"Hello, pleased to meet you."
"Likewise, I'm sure." 'Though not for long if you get in my way.'
"The male jagwere is Gar." They nodded at each other, assessing one another. "And the female jagwere is Shelia." She smiled at him, and Ranma raised an eyebrow, 'Is she a child?' Looking at her aura, with both his Ki and mystical senses he saw that she wasn't a child, but a woman with a birth-defect that switched the power of her human and hybrid form around. 'Ouch, I bet she's made fun of a lot because of that.'
Ranma asked, "So what's everyone doing here anyways?"
Theo answered, "I was about to ask you the same thing, the thing is is that there's a new werecat running around and three wererats have asked for sactuary." To Ranma's credit, he didn't even twitch when Theo mentioned rats. "The Edge Guard is here to investigate this new werecat to see if it is a threat to Jade or not.
Tirga spoke up, "Yeah, hopefully it's not a threat to anyone so we don't have to fight it." Ranma looked at him and narrowed his eyes almost imperceptively, fortunately no one noticed. 'So you might get in my way, huh, we'll see about that when the time comes.'
"So Ranma what brings you here?" Shelia asked, wondering if he was single or not.
Ranma shrugged and decided to tell the truth, however he wasn't stupid, if they knew he was the new lycanthrope, they may not let him complete his mission. Fortunately, dealing with Cologne, Nabiki, and Genma taught him the value of not telling the whole truth until the time was right. So Ranma told them what the NHS crew believed, "I'm here hunting rats from another plane of existance."
Most of the people blinked at this, not knowing what to make of it, fortunately Asrail cleared things up. "He's hunting large, mutant Rats from Dimention X." Everyone nodded, weird things like this always happened.
"Yep and I was wondering if any of you could help me, but since you're all too busy investigating this new lycanthrope, I won't ask you too." Getting up he bowed and turned to leave, when he said as an after-thought, "Though if you see some giant rats, let someone know or take them out. Thank you for your hospitality Britanny Diggers." And with that he left.
The NHS crew blink-blinked a couple of times before Jeremy spoke, "Well, maybe we should go after him and help?" They all nodded.
"Hey, he didn't get anything to drink."
Asrail calmed her down, "It's okay Brit, he knows he can come back here any time to get something."
Theo sighed, 'So now we have even more things to worry about.'
"Nanban Mirror, demonic creature."
"I thought it was broken."
"It is, you can't time-travel with it anymore."
