But it was then a thought hit him. "Wait. That Rika girl... She's bringing a partner... While that's allowed, I like to keep the cast to an even number...
Rankami had to think for a moment. What girl could he choose that would have a male companion that would follow her to this show. After all, he needed someone male to balance out the extra female, the Digimon Renamon.
It was then that Rankami was hit by a small bout of inspiration. This could be used to solve two problems. He knew he wouldn't be able to get any holy entities on the show, (he wanted to send an invite to Keiichi Morisato, but he knew father would shove a lightning bolt up his ass for messing with Belldandy's 'boyfriend'.)
So, while he couldn't get any 'celestial' entities on the show, he kenw that infernal ones were up for grabs... "Even half-demons..."

Kagome Higurashi sat by the Sacred Holy Tree on her family's shrine grounds. She sighed. It was summer. Yet she'd be stuck helping Inu-Yasha find those damned Shikon Jewel shards. Why did it ever have to break? Now she'd never know peace.
"I just want to relax this summer vacation..." Kagome thought. "Is that too much to ask?"
"Kagome!" Mrs. Higurashi, Kagome's mother called out. "You got a letter!"
Kagome blinked. "I got mail?" Seeing her mother nod, Kagome stood up and walked over and gratefully took the letter. "Thank you, mom."
Mrs. Higurashi nodded her head. "If you need me, I'll be inside fixing lunch for everyone."
Wathing her mother walk back into the house, Kagome opened the letter. Reading over it quickly, a HUGE smile appeared on her face. "ALL RIGHT! This is wonderful!"
"What's so wonderful?" Came a male voice. Looking above her, Kagonme saw Inu-Yasha, but shrugged it off. "Geeze, you're in a good mood. What happen? You gonna be rich or something?" Inu-Yasha asked with a smirk.
Giggling, Kagome said, "Even better! I'm gonna be on television!"
Inu-Yasha blinked. "Television? That magic box you have people trapped inside?"
Kagome rolled her eyes. "Yes. And no, it's not magic." Taking a deep breath, Kagome's eyes sparkled. "I'VE BEEN INVITED TO BE ON A TELEVISION SHOW!"
Kagome's screaming caused Inu-Yasha to fall out of the tree.
*THUD*! "Ow..."
"Sorry, Inu-Yasha." Lagome apologized. Smiling again, she said, "But this is great! I'm going to become well-known, and even better, I won't have to look for the Shikon Jewel shards ALL SUMMER!"
"WHAT!?" Inu-Yasha yelled as he got back to his feet. "No way, no how! You HAVE to help me look for those damn shards."
Kagome playfully stuck her tonguw out at Inu-Yasha. "No I don't. The Japanese TV-Viewers have spoken. I'm going to be on a TV show with seven others. And the show will be on ALL SUMMER. I can't look for thos shards if I'm starring in a Television show."
Inu-Yasha narrowed his eyes. "Why you little..." He growled. He then huffed in anger. "Fine! You can go. But if you think you're gonna go there alone, you got another thing coming. I'm going with you!"
"WHAT!?" Kagome yelled. "But you can't go! They didn't invite you!"
Inu-Yasha smiled. "I'll get on. I'm not going to leave you along and enjoy yourself. You should be doing work, lazy girl. And I'm gonna make sure you work, even on television."
Pulling at her hair, Kagome yelled, "ARGH! INU-YASHA, YOU ARE IMPOSSIBLE!"
(------)
Rankami couldn't help but laugh. His plan worked. Not only did he get another female, but he also roped in another 'extra'. How lovely!
