At the edge of the alley, he stopped, dropped Akane, and proceeded to gasp for breath. That had been close. Too close.
"What's going on here?" asked a familiar voice.
"Evil... witch... curses... monsters... Akane... bad juju..." gasped Ranma as he leaned against a wall and tried to recover.
Akane just nodded agreement.
