Triplanes had been the pinacle of flying machines during their day. They had been the steeds to the knights of the air during World War I, and been a storied part of history. Yet with the passage of time, they had become antiquated, useful for those who enjoyed them and air shows. Combat had long since taken over by faster, more manuverable, and more heavily armed aircaft since then. In terms of anything outside of a regular flight, they could be severely outgunned.

But just try telling Tatewakei Kuno that.

"The heavens have shone upon me, and granted my most worthy self the chance to rule over the skies. With the wonderous abilities that I now have, I shall be able to finally be where the populace can look upon me with the reverence that I deserve!"
