Faking It: Some Secrets Should Not Be Kept (When the Truth is Found Out It's Usually Worse) [Episode 37851]

by Philip Weigel

As Ranma and Sheila were having breakfast, outside two figures were approaching the complex. "Are you sure that Sheila is here Tirga? We may just be bothering someone needlessly."

"Gar, I'm very sure, 'sides, you were the one who needed my help to find her."

"Yeah, yeah, I know, besides it's your fault that I got worried about her in the first place."

Flashback. . .

Gar saw his sister off as she went to the magic observatory to have a mage there teleport her to Earth. Why she didn't allow him to know where she was going, he would never know. "Come to think of it, ever since that training trip to Earth a year and a half ago, she's never let me know where she was going. Oh, well, she's a big girl, and if anything goes wrong, I'll find out, the Diggers always let us know when something major happens." Gar mumbled to himself.

As Gar was walking back into Seers Hamlet. Tirga came up to him. "Hey Gar, I need to ask you something."

"Sure what is it?"

"Well, have you noticed that everytime Sheila comes back from her vacation trips that she's extremely happy? Not that its a bad thing, but still."

Gar looked at Tirga through lidden eyes, "Yeah, what's your point, she's happier everytime she comes back from Earth, and I don't see anything wrong with that." Shrugging his shoulders he continued, "She's probably made a new friend or something."

"That's my point, she's made a new 'friend' alright, a boyfriend."

"What?!? Oh, come on, if she had a boyfriend she would at least let me know."

Tirga looked at Gar and smacked him alongside the head, causing Gar to fall onto the road, picking himself up Gar glared at him, "Gar ever since she took a training trip a year and a half ago, she's shown even less interest in the guys around here or what people think of her. I'll admit that her self-esteem's gone through the roof, but don't you think it's odd that no one, not even Raphiel knows where she's going."

Gar thought about that, 'Come to think of it, even Oloni asked if I had seen Sheila.' He thought privately. "Alright, we'll ask Oloni if we can go to the Diggers, and I'll prove to you that there is nothing wrong."

End Flashback. . .

Gar shook his head, of course when they got to the Diggers, Sheila wasn't there. When they told Dr. Diggers that they only wanted to make sure she was alright, he teleported them to Japan, but not before giving them a light-gate, so they could get home. Fortunately (for Ranma and Sheila) and unfortunately (for Gar and Tirga) the spell didn't drop them off at the right place, only where Sheila and Ranma met. (They didn't know that this was because of all the chaos in the area.) It was a good thing that Weretigers had an exceptionally keen sense of smell, or they'd be looking all over for Sheila.

"And how is it my fault?"

"Because I wouldn't have thought of something like that." Tirga face-faulted when he heard that. "Besides, like I told you, she probably has some new friends and just didn't want you to try and sleep with any of them."

Tirga grumbled and knocked on the door. Meanwhile in the condo Ranma and Sheila were feeding each other when they heard the knock, sighing Sheila put on a robe and went to answer the door. "Um, Shechan, you might want to be in human form, just in case it's one of my rivals."

"Oh, how come?"

"They might attack you in your hybrid form."

Sheila winced but nodded, knowing from Ranma's stories that the Nerimian nincompoops would attack first and ask questions later. Shifting into human form (and stretching the robe to maximum) she went to the door, but not before Ranma whistled at her. Blushing slightly she said, "In a minute dear." When she got to the door and answered it, it wasn't who she was expecting, her brother Gar, and Tirga. "Gar, what are you two doing here?"

Tirga couldn't believe that Sheila would answer the door in a bathrobe that clung to her so tightly. "Hey Sheila, perhaps we should. ." *WHAM* Tirga was now kissing the pavement.

Gar had to ask, "Uh, sis, where'd you get the mallet?"

"Oh, this, I picked it up at a convience store, then a friend of mine taught me how to pull it out of nowhere."

"Hey, Shechan, who's at the door, and why'd you use a mallet on them?" A voice coming from inside, a male voice. Walking into view Gar could see a human male a little bit taller than what Sheila was in hybrid form, wearing a bathrobe and had his hair done up in a pig-tail.

"Sheila who is this?" Gar asked, knowing he wouldn't like the answer.

Blushing Sheila answered, "My boyfriend Ranma Saotome."

"Hah, I knew it. You've had a boyfriend for over a year now." Tirga said as he somehow got back onto his feet.

Gar saw red, "Grr, DIE!!" He would have made good on that promise, but *WHAM* he too was introduced to the ground.

Sheila looked at him, extremely pissed, "Don't you dare, don't you dare attack the one guy that's ever seen me as a woman to love."

Gar and Tirga were surprised to say the least, Sheila finally found someone to love her. Ranma narrowed his eyes at the weretiger, "Hey is your name Tirga?"

Blinking, Tirga went, "Yeah." *WHAM* And then he went into LEO.

"That's for taking Shechan's feelings so lightly." Blinking Ranma found himself in a hug, which he happily returned.

Gar blinked, first he finds out that his little sister has a boyfriend, then said boyfriend knocks his best friend into LEO and now, the two of them were hugging each other. In a much calmer voice, "Sheila, why didn't you tell me?"

"Because you might have stopped what happened."

Gar winced, "Sorry, I know I'm overprotective. So how about we sit down and have breakfast." Grinning he got up from the ground and followed Ranma and Sheila, who went back into her hybrid form into the house to talk.
