Missing Persons: Ataru's backup plan [Episode 37978]

by Kestral

Vriiiiiiiiiii

Ataru Moroboshi appeared, several coffin-like containers arrayed around him. He giggled in his usual fashion. "Girl-hunting has become so much fun, and now some more of my pets should be done!"

"I don't think so," said Ranma, stepping out of concealment and cracking his knuckles.

"Oh, for a glass of water," said Ataru. "I wanted to add you as Ranma-chan but I couldn't find you. It's really so nice of you to come forward and volunteer like this."

Ranma shuddered in revulsion.

Ataru pulled out a gun. "Normally I don't care for weapons like this, but I've gotten rather attached to this one. It's a neural scrambler. One shot and your short term memory will have the consistency of fluff. Now, will you get in your capsule and keep your memory, or do I shoot you and drag you there?"

"Ahem," said another voice.

Clark stepped out from from where he had concealed himself.

"Okaaayyy," said Ataru, feeling a bit more worried. Sure, Clark wasn't nearly at the apex of his career or powers, but Superman at any age was hardly what one should consider a pushover.

"I meet his 'ahem' and raise you a declaration of ill intent," said Lieutenant Paris, pointing a futuristic bit of hardware in Ataru's direction.

"Now this could be a problem," admitted Ataru out loud.

"Really," said Xander, pointing a crossbow at Ataru's back, sighting along vertrabae. "Then perhaps you should give up?"

"Not when I have the computer controlling this place under my control," said Ataru. "Activate full security!"

"Perhaps I should mention that I used my tricorder to analyze the network, find your central computer, and change the control codes," mentioned Lt. Paris.

"Well, then, I'm glad I had this little surprise planned," said Ataru, his free hand touching a remote control.
