Gatekeepers 1/2: Gatekeepers R? The mandatory panty shot! [Episode 38084]

by Kestral

Setsuna Meiou, aka Sailor Pluto, alias the Guardian Of Time, watched as the latest timeline firmed up.

AEGIS was different. MAGIC was different, as it was now all a thing of these paradimensional Gates and the ability to tap into them.

Oh, this looked interesting.

The young girl descended the stairs quickly, having somehow tripped about three-quarters of the way down from her plane in a tumble of luggage and girl. She found herself caught in a pair of strong arms before she hit.

"Second Lieutenant Minako Aino, I presume?" asked the catcher.

"AH! Yes, sorry about this," said Minako as she was lowered to the ground.

The boy set her down and then gave her a quick salute before extending his hand. "First Lieutenant Ranma Saotome, AEGIS."

"Oh right," said Minako, trying to salute and shake hands and then just going for a bow.

Ranma dropped the hand after the brief period of confusion, using it to take up some of the unspilled luggage. "How was the trip?"

"A little bit of jetlag, London's on a VERY different schedule," answered Minako. "Ah! My clothes!"

"Yes, well, I heard from Captain Braddock that you were looking forward to getting back to Japan," said Ranma, waiting for her to finish gathering things from the suitcase which had come open.

"Yeah, that's true," said Minako, trying not to look at the cute boy so that she didn't start falling apart per normal.

"Good, then I'll show you where your quarters are," said Ranma. "There's times I'll be your C.O. but we're pretty relaxed about stuff like that for the most part. It's not like we're a regular military outfit, after all. You've been designated backup leader and specialist. When we're not on a mission or doing something Official, we're just regular folks for the most part. I'll introduce you to the other team members later."

"Yeah, I got the packet," said Minako, nodding. "Captain Braddock was telling me he's worked with a few of the others before. Did you work with him, Sir?"

"Just call me Ranma for now," advised Ranma. "I've never met the Captain face-to-face, we've crossed paths and been support on each other's sides a couple of times. Same with Captain Rogers in America and Captain Tylor in the Bahamas."

Setsuna stared, not believing what she was hearing. This world had a Captain Justy Tylor?! Who was a Gatekeeper?! What Gate... the Gate of LUCK?!!

Looks like he didn't get a lot of enemies his way. Most self-respecting evil menaces didn't want anything to do with someone who bent probability lines to such an extent.

Refocussing on those present, Setsuna hoped to find out more about this horrible situation.

"So your Gate Of Light is focussed through the pistol primarily?" asked Ranma. "I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to manage the healing functions like Rurippe had."

"Thanks to training with Captain Braddock, I don't need the pistol to manifest my laser attacks," said Minako, "though dig THIS."

"I take it the bracelet uses Gate technology?" asked Ranma, obviously interested.

"Yes," said Minako, proudly displaying something that looked like a rather bulky wristwatch. "I can do solid light, though I'm stuck with simple shapes right now. I've been training in manifesting a sword or a shield, and I've managed to brace objects like a door pretty well."

"I'm sure you'll get even better with time and practice," Ranma assurred her.

"You bet!" cheerfully exclaimed Minako before dropping another piece of luggage. Which naturally popped open and once again seemed to strew bits of underwear in all directions.

"Ah, here's another of your team," said Ranma as Minako was bent over and trying to gather stray panties, "Second Lieutenant Minako Aino, recently of AEGIS London, I'd like you to meet -"
