Lily, the Pokemon Magician chanted, as the bubbling contents of the beaker produced white smoke. She was so excited, as she is now going to find out if this "Read a Pokémon's Mind Spell" really works.
"Now Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash called out, knowing that he was going to be the first to receive the effects of this spell.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu fired a bolt of electricity into the beakers, causing the smoke to turn yellow and envelop his trainer.
"Well, I guess I'm feeling a little bit like I'm getting inside Pikachu's mind," Ash remarked, before the yellow smoke totally engulfed him. When the smoke cleared however...
"What?! Oh no!" Lily cried, for she, Misty, and Brock saw that the figure that was revealed when the smoke parted was not the same one that got engulfed in it earlier.
"Uh.... what happened? Why do I feel so itchy all of the sudden.... and why do my clothes don't fit and...."
Misty interrupted Ash's rant. "Um Ash... you are..."
"Is that really you Ash?" added Brock.
"What? Why are you guys looking at me like I got two heads or something?"
"No, there's just one, but look," Misty said, as she pulled out her mirror.
Ash got a look, a real good look at his new self. His face, while still retaining most of it's human features, was covered in fur. His cheeks now had two bright red spot. His ears were elongated to look like his Pikachu's. "Whaaaaa! I'm now HALF PIKACHU!" Ash started to freak out, forgetting for a moment that he had a tail that was struggling to break through the rear of his pants.
"Strange, that's not how it is supposed to happen." Lily turned a few pages of her spellbook, trying to see what went wrong. She soon found out why. "No way!"
"What, what is it Lily?" Brock asked.
"Brock, it's the spell. It looks like it continues on to the next page."
"And?"
"But the next page is too smudged up and I can't read it! Oh no, what have I done?"
Misty and Brock frowned. This looked bad.
