Gatekeepers 1/2: Frustration for Pluto [Episode 38989]

by Kestral

Sailor Pluto waited. As soon as her local time self was alone she could contact and recruit her.

Unfortunately, she wasn't being left alone.

"...Setsuna Meiou, sophomore year, wants to be a fashion designer. She opened a Gate just for a moment there."

Setsuna slowly awakened to find herself in a hospital room. "What? Where?"

"You're safe," said a boy with a pigtail. "The Invader is gone."

Setsuna's eyes opened as she remembered the students putting on dark glasses and morphing into those cloned black figures, and then becoming that sea urchin - which was fought by the very boy she was seeing. She propped herself up on the hospital bed. "You? Who are you?"

The boy took a card out of his wallet.

"Ranma Saotome?" Setsuna read. "AEGIS?!"

"We're an international organization which fights alien invaders," said Ranma simply. "And we can use your help."

"MY help?" asked Setsuna with a yawn. "Do you need uniforms designed?"

"Why a guard?" Setsuna asked, feeling a little put off by the armed girl nearby.

"Hotaru felt the presence of one of the Senshi nearby," said Ranma simply.

The thrill of fear woke Setsuna up a little more. Those callous villains were after her?! What did they want with her?! Would they seek to ravage her (as one newspaper editorial had suggested after witnesses to that short-haired blonde's antics had indicated that the girls had been ogled by her) or something more nefarious?

"Don't worry, you'll be allowed to leave if you want to as soon as you've rested a bit more," said Ranma, misinterpreting her concern. "Hikaru's just here to make sure you're not disturbed."

"I see," said Setsuna, yawning again.

"Well, in that case, see you in a few hours, Miss Meiou." Ranma hurried from the room. Hopefully Intel would have some clues as to why the Senshi would be after her.

As Setsuna sat back and let drowsiness wash over her:
