Just staring at Ranma for a few more moments, Jalliele'Brea shook her head. "I don't understand... How is it you can see HER as a friend? From what you told me, she's also tried many underhanded tricks to steal you as well, like the blackmail with that photo, and all the times she's poisoned her cooking."
Ranma shrugged his shoulders, "True, but for some reason... I can't help but pity her."
Raising an eyebrow, Archon asked, "You pity her?"
"Well, yeah." Ranma said. "Her life was, and still is pretty much a fantasy world to her. Her mind-set seemed stuck in Victorian Europe, while her brother thinks of the world as still being in Feudal Japan. Their personalities clash all the time, and they and everyone around them pays for it."
Noticing Archon blushing, Ranma asked, "Is something wrong?"
Wringing her hands, Archon was unsure of how to ask her question. "Um... Ranma... Doesn't what you just said actually condem her further as a person you should stay away from?"
Shrugging his shoulder, Ranma said, "Nah. Surprisingly, she's not as dangerous as one would think. She has some obvious backround issues that she needs to deal with, yes, but she's like me because of that. A Victim of childhood. I mean, her whole family is something that should be commited to an insane asylum. You can't blame her for turning out as she did when everyone else around her was pretty much nuttier than a bag of trail mix..."
Archon nodded her head, starting to understand. "Basically, you saw her as someone worse off than you. She had money and influence, but that didn't help her."
Nodding his head, Ranma said, "Yeah. It's funny, how when I tried to reach out as a friend, she actually reciprocated that much more realistically than when I always tried to run from her. I think in away, she was always after me for the thrill of the chase."
Sighing, Archon said, "I'm sporry, but I still don't see how running after a martial artist and dealing with three rivals is a thrill."
Ranma smirked. "You just answered your own question."
"Eh?" Archon asked.
"You see, Archon," Ranma started, "Being stuck on her fantasy world, she basically followed the same things and views over and over again. Such monotony can become rather tedious. My appearance, in a sense, 'spiced up' her life." After a moment, Ranma smirked and added, "Though I think the fact that her going after me pissed off her brother had something to do with it as well. Those two NEVER got along well."
Nodding her head, Archon then asked, "So, how long have you and Kodachi been friends?"
"Oh, it happened about a month after the failed wedding incident. That whole fiasco was kind of a wake up call for her, I guess. Even she wasn't into the 'chase' as she usually was. I actually went up to her to talk one time, and... Well... it's surprising how well we actually hit it off..."
Sighing, Archon said, "Like boygfriend, girlfriend?"
Ranma shook his head. "Nah. It was then that she realized that I really wasn't her type. She prefers someone a bit more malleable than me... And besides, I would NEVER be able to get used to her," Ranma shivered, "Habits..."
Archon raised an eyebrow. "Habits?"
"Kodachi revealed to me that she liked S&M and all that sort of stuff." Ranma shivered again. "One time, she even asked me to tie her to a wall and do..." Ranma then went on for five minutes about what Kodachi wanted him to do with some razor-wire, cucumbers, a half gallon of cottage, and a frubber chicken...
All that the furiously blushing Archon of Aebra could say was, "Oh my..."
Ranma nodded his head. "Yeah, that pretty much does some up how I felt..."
"HEY! I'M FLYING HERE!"
