"Meanwhile, in a emergency UN meeting in Genevia, the Security Council is pushing for full global moblization of military forces in a fashion not seen since the second World War. However there has been some opposition with the United States' controversial use of military force in an attempt to isolate the city of New York. In responce to allogations of excessive force, the American embassador stated, 'The fall of Israel has shown us that this cannot be approched lightly, even if it means declaring war on those who were once abiding citizens.' This is Nathen Brent, CNN Washington."
Claudus smiled as he leaned back and watched the continued news reports, having adjusted the scrying spell to intercept human brodcasts. He had to admire their inginuity in compensating with technology instead of magic after the Migration to Jade made old arts into nothing more than story of myth. Smirking, he looked down at the large and open electronic briefcase sitting on a table next to his throne which symbolized his greatest technological intrest, the power of the atom. While the leaders of Israel were able to escape, Taro managed to redeam himself a great bit by capturing the main code input unit for the nuclear missles, along with several generals and techs who knew how the system operated and how to crack it. Soon, the Nogsune would be a nuclear power, making him more than capable of defeating his enemies both here and on Jade.
"Just a matter of time." he whispered to himself as he turned his face forward and spotted a kneeling Gosunkugi, holding a old, beaten leather book. 'Now, what is he doing here?' Claudus wondered before he rembered. 'Oh, yes. It was to discuss his spetacular failure with a simple job of creating cannon fodder.'
"I take it from your quaking Jadeite infomed you why you are her, correct?" he said, watching the tengu nod in affermation. "Now, do you have any reason at all why I shouldn't have you undergo Drow torture for the next year for that embarresment? Hmmmm?"
"I understand my failure my lord, but I assure you, my next plan will not."
"And what pray-tell is your next genus idea, a voodo Bugs Bunny?" Claudus sarcastacly said, unseithing his claws.
"I have heard about the son of the Legendary Sparda becomming a thorn in our side, and in looking for a way to counter him, I discovered this." Gosunkugi said as he opened the book and presented it to his lord. Eying warely, he skimmed the text which turned out to be a trestie of devils, including the forces of the former Dark Emperor Mundus and his four generals; the lava spider Phantom, the bird of lightning Griffon, the dark knight Nelo Angelo, and the living bioweapon Nightmare. Suddendly, with a moment of clarity, he understood what the voodo nut wanted to do.
"You're proposing that we resurrect the four generals of Mundus?" he asked, peased with the feveroush nodding. "I'm rather impressed. You have just earned yourself another day of life. We shall preform the ritual tonight, but there will be no mistakes! I shall personally preform the rites, unless you have any objections."
"No Master." Gosunkugi replyed, grateful that he was still alive.
"Now go." Claudus said in a dismissive mannor, smirking as he watched the weretengu scuttle out, gratefull that his head is still in its usuall place. Floping back down on his throne, Claudus couldn't help but chuckle. First, several nations of the world were already under his rule, next was the aqqusition of a nuclear stockpile, and now by tomorrow morning the four generals of the devil himself would be his personal servants. "I am the king." he laughed loudly.
