Lamp Of Mihoshi: Other Genres that Abrogate the Curse(s) [Episode 39875]
Of course, since this wish was handled by the Djinni Ruling Body:
1) Mihoshi's usual Screw-up effect has no continuing effect, save that;
2) Being of a morality we will call 'Other', the setting and results will not necesarily be Waffed-out or Monkey's Pawed, just definitively a way OUT of all his neriman problems.. in time.
For Example...
-
Epic Fantasy. Getting dragged into a lifetime of purpose and High Stakes will educate, kill, or cure Ranma to where if he survives, he's not going to be considered or consider himself particularly cursed. (Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, etc.)
-
High Magic. Shifting Ranma into situations of learning the Powers of Change, he can take contreol, and end his ongoing problems, or if he screws up, become something so twisted it can't even remember what he is now--or at least wouldn't care.
-
Action Movie Setting. Usually WAY too frantic to be introspecive, and as a protector, he'll be in the thick of it, trying to keep everyone around him alive!
-
Low Fantasy/High Magick. In worlds like this, filled with no morals or honor codes, and beings of Power ruling over all, most of his problems are either universal or simply insignificant. (Willow in the villain's country, the Black Company series, etc.)
-
Overt 'fantasy' Porn. in this repetitive mindnumbing demandingly sexualised life, he'd either grow out of his problems, learn to use them to conquer foes and the resistance of women, or be so broken that again he'd no longer see them or himself as anything like he does now. (Gor, the Spaceways novels)
-
Something else having to do with a world that will lead Ranma away from his current problems.
