Here he was with Akane-inu, Ukyo-neko, Sakura-neko, and Ryouga-onna, trying to find a way to get to Okinawa.
While he might be up to swimming that distance, he didn't hold much hope for the others.
Akane yelped playfully and started chasing Ukyo. After a few minutes Sakura joined in the game.
"I'm a girl," mumbled Ryouga-chan for what seemed the twentieth time.
"Told ya it was too good to be true," said Ranma for the nineteenth time. "On the other hand, ya don't turn inta P-chan so nobody's going to try to make pork fried rice with ya now."
"Aw, what a lovely family," said a passerby. Girl + boy + three kids = family.
"Kill me now," moaned Ryouga-chan.
"Now lessee," said Ranma, looking over the busy docks,"where would I go to get to Okinawa?"
"Pier 15," said one of the workers. "Three ships going for Okinawa."
Ranma quickly thanked the kami for expository dialogue and hurried his charges there. Once there, he cursed the fates.
There was a cruise ship of sorts, taking young couples and families down there. Problem: they'd have to share the same cabin and register as a family. Their remaining resources wouldn't cover separate billings. The "Love Boat" wasn't its name, but he heard a reference to it as such - bad juju.
There was an old battered trawler, obviously foreign, which would take Ranma as a worker - the others would just have to keep out of everyone's way. Problem - this thing looked like the sort that was haunted, and the captain looked like he was ready to take the Zombie Certification Test. Then there was the name of the ship - the Rod Serling.
The final ship was even weirder. Some kind of submersible ship, and the captain looked like Henry Glovall from Macross crossed with someone out of Space Cruiser Yamato. What the hell kind of name for a ship was "Nautilus" anyway?
