"..I LOVE YOU!!.." Ranma's words rang in her head multiple times. They were deeply sincere, laced with a hint of fear telling Britanny that it took every ounce of courage of his being and beyond to say those three words.
"...He meant it...how'd I never notice it before?" Britanny mumured to herself as she comtemplated how she overlooked Ranma having feelings for her. She hadn't ever seen any outward signs....or..did she miss them?
A knock at her door made her put that on hold as she sat up. ' Who is it?"
" Its me Gina, can I come in Brit?" The voice outside the door asked.
"..Sure...come in."
Gina opened the door and came in, she shut it behind her and then made her way to the bed and sat on the edge of it. " You look a bit down sis...what's up?"
Britanny thought about dodging the issue but decided against it and went for bluntless.
" Gina... Ranma has the hots for me."
Gina nodded. " And for many years too.."
Britanny's eyes widen at the realization of Gina's words. " YOU KNEW?!"
Gina winced, but nodded. " Yep...and so does Mom and Bri...Dad does too I think, but he hasn't told me if he does."
Britanny blinked, then sighed her eyes downcast. " Ranma must think I'm so stupid! I never noticed it!"
Gina shook her head. " No Brit, YOU were the one he tried hidding it from the most...I wouldn't have known if Mom didn't point it out to me, same for Brianna."
Britanny sighed heavily, looking away slightly. " I can't believe Ranma liked me... I never knew... I thought he wasn't interested in me..."
" Well Brit...he thought it was just a silly crush at first...it wasn't until after you and Stripe got together that he realized there was more ot it than a simple crush. He tried to forget, and not let his feelings damage yours and Stripe's relationship." Gina bit her lip. " And well...he found it harder to let go..and well when he heard of the engagement he well..looked like someone rammed a spike through his gut.
Britanny could actually image the look of defeated horror on Ranma's face...the thought alone was breaking her heart knowing she unwittingly hurt him.
Gina continued, unaware of Brit's mentaly anguish. "When he saw how sad you were when El Dorado vanished...he commited himself to helpping us get to Aebra. Even now he's outside trainingto use that Guyver thing so we can help Stripe fight off the Dynasty....but he's mostly doing it for you."
Britanny sniffled, Ranma had been working hard to help them, and he took alot of punishment from Benji during the Time-Warp crisis, and now was tyring to master an alien armor so he could help reunite her with her finace...even at the cost of his own happiness. " ..Oh Ranma..." Tears were now flowing from her eyes.
Seeing her baby sister getting upset. Gina pulled Britanny into a hug cradling her light. " Oh Brit...its alright.."
Britanny hiccuped and wept. " I can't believe it... He loves me... He really loves me...dammit how could I have not seen it?"
" Because he has a knack for hidding his emotions when he really wants too...and you were the one person he was trying them from." Gina said soothingly, stroking Britanny's hair.
" You know..its weird....when Gar told me he loved me...I could tell he was sincere..but it ddn't phase me..but when..when Ranma said it..I couldn't ignore it...and..I don't know why but my heart aches knwing he's suffering...because of me..."
Gina sighed and held her weeping sister...unsure as to comfort her sister.
