Ranma frowned as he realized that he had allowed Kasumi's birthday to creep up so quickly. Sure, it wasn't like his life lended itself to long periods of time for contemplation, but he could have made some time to try and make sure that he had dealt with it properly. After all, she cooked and cleaned for him, even washed his damned boxers for heaven's sake, and the lest that he could do for her was remember that it was her birthday.

Well, to be honest, he had remembered before. It was just that he hadn't had long to deal with anything relating to something like that for long. He marked the calender, and Akane decided that it was time for him to try out her latest attempt at 'cooking'. Trying to go shopping usually meant that he would get into some kind of fight. And everyone was always trying to get something for themselves.
