The next day had Theo and Julia up drinking coffie as the sun rose, it was really early, so there was no real need to wake the kids up yet. "I still can't believe he hissed at me."
"Well, you did try and remove him from the bed last night. He's acting like Britanny's important to him, almost like a queen." Theo mused, wondering what it was about that boy, he seemed to be human, but yet not. They'd probably need a blood sample.
Julia nodded, she wondered why the heck he seemed so protective of Britanny. Ranma was acting like an animal of some sort. Her musings were cut off as the doorbell rung. Shaking her head she got up to get the door. When she got there she was surprised to see her old friend Agent M. "Good morning M. What brings you here?"
*Sigh* "I've some photos that I think that both you and your husband should see. Normally I wouldn't get you involved, but I think that you two should be warned."
"About what?"
"Let me in and you'll see." Nodding Julia let him in and led him to the table. Theo looked up from the paper he was reading and raised an eyebrow at seeing M. M sat down at the table and looked at the two of them as Julia sat down as well. "I have something that might interest you." With that he opened his briefcase and took out some photos. He handed some to Julia, and some to Theo and waited for their reactions.
After a few minutes both had gotten done looking at the photos and were just a touch green, a fact that surprised M, most people who saw the photos would be throwing up right now. Theo spoke up, "What kind of depraved psyckopath rips people's heads and spines out of their body?"
Julia looked at M, "You don't think a lycanthrope or dragon or something, do you?"
"No I do not, take a closer look at some of those photos, some of those people died from being shot, a laser of some sort I believe. Anyways, I came to warn the both of you. It seems to be some sort of hunter that attacks worthy prey."
Theo raised an eyebrow, "How do you know this?"
"Very simple, there have been cases like this in the past. But children, people with disabilities and those that can't fight are left alone. I came to warn you that since I know the two of you can fight that these hunters may come for you eventually."
Julia blinked, "Alright, I'll take that as a fact, but has anyone ever survived these things?"
"Very few have survived, but those that do gain the hunters' respect."
While M was conversing with the Elder Diggers a cloaked form was outside scanning their house. Using aura scanning technology he noticed two rather large auras right in one room. He continued to scan the mansion and came across three others, one was completely normal, nothing to hunt there, one was stronger than normal, but most of the power was sleeping, and the last one was. . . The hunter nearly fell over in shock, a Xenomorph? Here? He knew that he had to tag this one for hunting later. He quickly ran up to the window where the Xenomorph was behind. He jumped up and into the room. Looking at the two forms in the bed stopped him from doing anything. The Xenomorph was a child?!? Well shoot, that no fun at all to hunt. But when it got older, then they could have fun. The hunter quickly 'tagged' the Xenomorph's aura and then recorded his scent, though it was muddled with that of the other child. Looking at her he noticed that since she was a female and had dormant powers, he figured that the Xenomorph now had a queen to serve. Hmm, maybe tagging both of them would be an interesting challenge.
After a few minutes of scanning their auras and memorizing the scent, the hunter then pulled out something that looked like a paper puncher. He took the Xenomorph's left ear and clamped the device down, it left an invisble tracer for them to find him later, he did the same to the Xenomorph's 'Queen'. These wouldn't hurt the children in any way and would be completely undectectable. As soon as they came back for the hunt, the tracers would fall off. He noticed that they were about to awake, so he quickly left through the window and returned to his lair, to give a report.
Yes the hunter was right. Things would be interesting when he and the others returned for the hunt.
